“Is that guy your brother, Ellier Near an old neighborhood. Diana slowed down the car. 

Ellie looked up and saw her brother, Aaron, surrounded by a group of sketchy–looking guys. Seeing Aaron holding his stomach in a way that looked wrong. Ellie was shocked. 

“Aaron!” Before the car even came to a complete stop. Ellie flung open the door and dashed out. 

Diana watched as Ellie ran to her brother, ignoring everything else. She glanced at Aaron and the sketchy group behind him. Calmly, she reached under her car seat and pulled our a handgun. 

Just as Ellie helped Aaron in front of Diana’s car, the suspicious group caught up to them. 

As the group lunged at Aaron, Diana pointed her gun at them “If you’re not scared to die, then come on!” 

“Ms. Grant.” Ellie said, worry evident as she looked at the gun in Diana’s hand. 

Anyone with assets over a certain amount could register with the police to carry a gun for self–defense here. 

The Grant family was one of the four major families in jaslands, a top elite family, so it wasn’t surprising she had a gun 

Aaron, just barely managing with his injured body, moved to grab Diana’s gun. “Get back in your car!” 

The gunshot rang out, and one man’s knee was shot through, causing him to fall to the wet ground, screaming.

A few hours later, Jaslands Hospital 

Aaron was admitted to a hospital room, and the police completed their report and left. 

Ellic, seeing Diana completely soaked, brought a clean towel over with gratitude. “Ms. Grant, it was great to have you here tonight” 

Diana took the towel Ellie handed her and stood by Aaron’s hospital bed.

Aaron was half–lying on the hospital bed, receiving an IV drip. Thinking about those people from tonight, he furrowed his brows slightly. 

Looking at Ellie’s worried expression, Aaron pretended to be relaxed. “I just got careless” 

Those people were well–trained and especially skilled in close combat. They were definitely not ordinary. 

He was almost sure that those people were targeting him 

“Ellie, go get the nurse to take the needle out for your brother: Diana sent Ellie away. 

After Ellie left the room, Diana propped one hand on the side of Aaron’s hospital bed and made eye contact with him. “Don’t think I can’t tell; those people were after you!”

said, “I’m not completely sure yet, but they were definitely coming after me!”
