Burry watched as his bosss face darkened, quickly sealing up the package and calling for it to be taken away.

If it were anyone else. Alex would have already gone after them with a sword instead of letting it slide. 

Alex came over, grabbed the big box from Barry’s arms, and took it directly into the office lounge in front of everyone. 

The people behind him looked at each other, but no one dared to speak up. 

At noon, Evan saw Alex pull a large box from the car’s trunk and quickly called for help. 

“No need” Alex, with a stem look, carried the box upstairs by himself. 

At the master bedroom on the second floor. Alex opened the box and saw the mixed–race silicone doll Ellie had given him, feeling so angry his 

chest hurt. 

He stood up, angrily grasped the doll by the neck, and dragged it into the cloakroom. Pulling open a top shelf cabinet, he shut the doll away inside 

Standing still for a moment, Alex turned around to leave. 

As he reached the doorway, he paused, spun back and took the doll out again. 

Alex opened the wardrobe and shoved the doll inside. 

Who knows what he touched, but the doll suddenly let out a soft moan. 

Alex was speechless. 

A few minutes later, Alex firully found the doll’s “switch” and, with a dark expression, threw the doll onto his bed. 

Alex took off his jacket and stood at the foot of the bed, with a thin layer of sweat covering him. 

“You little brat, if you make another sound. I’ll squeeze the life out of you” Alex pointed at the doll on the bed, gritting his teeth. 

“You don’t even care when I’m hurt! 

“Send this thing to my office.” 

“Such a daft 105!” 

Alex was so furious he felt drained, sitting straight against the wall and lighting a cigarette. 

He took out his phone, opened Ellie’s chat, and quickly typed a message. 

Hesitating, he deleted it all and started anew, contemplating his words, then erasing again the pattern continued. 

At 3 PM, Alex was followed by his assistant, Chris, and his trusted confidant, Barry, as they exited the CEO’s private elevator.

station, they found out that Justin had beaten up Leonard. Ellie had reported it, and Justin was brought into the station. 

Outside the police station, Alex watched Ellie and Leonard walk out together, his deep–set eyes flickering with uncertainty. 

He stood by the car without moving, his steady gaze locked onto Ellie. 

“Uncle Alex, that’s the guy” Justin pointed at Leonard standing next to Ellie. “That’s the guy holding Ellie’s hand. I saw it myself Alex frowned, pulled his gaze away, and gave Justin a warning look. “Shut up!” 

Justin posted. “Uncle Alex, that guy wants to mess with you! He’s flirting with Ellie. That homewrecker deserves a beating!” 

Alex was at a loss for words. 

Harry, on the other side of the black Bentley, quietly ducked his head. 

Seeing Ellie not even give him a glance as she walked with Leonard to a nearby white sedan, Alex turned and got into his car 

“Justin, listen up! Don’t go bothering them.” 

Alex sat in the backseat of the luxury car, watching through the window as Ellie and Leonard stood talking beside the car nearby.

Seeing Alex remain silent. Justin rubbed his hands excitedly. “I thought Ellie was with you, Uncle Alex

Watching Ellie get into Leonard’s car and leave, Alex gently closed his eyes and said, “Let’s head back to the office.” 

Because of the incident involving Justin and Leonard, Ellie decided to take the day off 

When she got home in the afternoon, she was surprised to find Aaron had actually come back. “Aaron, did you take time off?” 

“Have some things to do, heading out for a bit. 

Aaron didn’t look very well, and after a quick chat with Ellie, he hurried out the door.

Sketches were piled high on the coffee table, while a bag of snacks lay scattered on the keyboard 

The couch was a mess with scattered pillows, scarves, and jackets…. 

The more Aaron looked, the deeper his frown of concern grew.

Seeing Aaron, Diana swiftly tossed her pen and lunged for the sofa. 

With quick reflexes, Aaron grabbed the handbag on the sofa before Diana could. 

“Give it back!” 

Though she held a black belt in taekwondo, Diana’s skills were no match for Aarons, but her reflexes were incredibly fast. 

She wrapped her legs around Aaron’s waist, pinning him on the couch, threatening. “Give it back or I’ll yell harassment!” 

Suddenly feeling empty–handed, Aaron watched as the handbag was flung into the bedroom by Diana. 

With a quick move, he flipped her over, pinning her to the couch as he tried to pry her legs apart to enter the bedroom, grabbing something from his bag, only to be held back by her again. 

Aaron commanded. “Let go of your legs and let me in” 

She snapped back, “No way!” 

Aaron insisted, “Give it to me!”
