"In such clothes?" Caleb had a look at the jeans, coat and ankle boots on her. The clothes were definitely unsuitable for an annual conference.
It was the first time he said so much to her since they were in a cold war.
"I will change my clothes in the company," Eva said.
"Two hours."
"What?"
"Forget it." Caleb didn't explain and let Eva leave.
When she arrived at the company, Eva was still wondering what "two hours" meant.
Lisa had almost become Eva's personal stylist. Today a lot of actors had made appointment with her but she declined those people. After all, Eva might become the wife of Caleb Livingstone, the boss of the company. She needed to fawn on her.
Apart from Nathen, Lisa was the only one in this company who had seen Eva being together with Caleb.
Two hours later, Eva had been beautifully made up by Lisa but the nanny van prepared by Bonnie for her disappeared.
Suddenly, Eva's phone rang.
"Go downstairs," Caleb said coldly from the other side.
"What? What are you going to do?" Eva was confused.
"What happened?" Bonnie asked.
Eva explained with a mixture of emotions spreading over her face, "Mr. Livingstone asked me to go downstairs."
"Mr. Livingstone? Then go ahead. I won't be with you and I will go Marriott with Lisa," Bonnie now knew the nanny van would disappear.
But what Bonnie didn't know was that the Mr. Livingstone was not the Nathan Livingstone who she knew.
When Eva was downstairs, Caleb's car was already waiting for her.
They arrived at Marriott Hotel on time.
When Caleb got off the car and bent his arm for Eva to take, Eva had ready got off the car from the other side and sneaked away.
She didn't want to show up together with Caleb. Otherwise, she would be like a monkey in the zoo.
Caleb stared at her back and smiled. For him, she looked like a cunning little fox.
It was the first time Caleb attended the annual conference of Luxstar. The moment he showed up, he was surrounded by other top managers.
"Why are you here, Caleb?" Nathan saw Caleb and was also a bit stunned. When he asked him a few days earlier, Caleb still refused to attend. But now he showed up without informing anyone.
"I'm just not busy." Caleb said softly while searching Eva in the crowd with his eyes.
"Oh..." Nathan was silent.
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Livingstone. I'm Luxstar's..."
Other top managers with the same intention walked over to him. Actors of the company also come over to greet him.
Eva wanted to attract no one's attention so that she could have a nice meal. After all, Marriott's restaurants were some of the best in Hartvenport.
But her agent was Bonnie, the most experienced agent in Luxstar. The other actors wouldn't let Eva do what she wanted as she was the only actor Bonnie was responsible for.
"Listen to me, get on the bed and you will feel more comfortable," Caleb hoped Eva could lie in his arms sweetly and peacefully forever as such but he was also afraid that she wouldn't sleep well in this way.
But Eva kept holding Caleb's neck in arms tightly.
"Listen to me, dear, let my neck go," Caleb said in an extremely gentle voice as if he was taking care of a little baby.
But Eva held his neck even more tightly as if she would lose him when she loosened his neck.
Now Eva was flushed and pouted. Caleb just leaned on Eva and stroked her frowned eyebrows gently.
"They are bad guys, all of them... they trapped me five years ago, and now they wouldn't let me go... why..." Eva murmured with her eyes closed.
"Bad guys... all of them..."
Caleb heard her murmuring and frowned.
Five years, trap.
Hearing the words, Caleb squinted and a coldness flashed in his eyes.
What he knew was that Eva went abroad suddenly five years ago but now he knew that there must be something more.
He needed to ask Luke Pearce to investigate the thing in detail.
Caleb got a feeling in mind that the thing which happened five years ago was very important to Eva.
He looked at the adorable girl before him and remained silent.
