"No reason."
"You were the one who asked for the divorce this time."
"So what?"
"If you didn't want a divorce, why did you ask your men to deliver the agreement to me?" She stared into his eyes. "I won't believe you if you try to play it off as a prank."
Tyler looked up and met her gaze. "I did want to divorce you, but you wouldn't sign the agreement, and I started having second thoughts."
Vicky narrowed her eyes. "Why?"
"You wouldn't oblige when I wanted a divorce, so why should I accept it when you want it?"
Amused, Vicky mocked, "Tyler, don't you think you're being childish?"
"Childish or not, you're not getting away unless I say so."
Vicky did not bother asking what she could do for him to agree to the divorce. After a long silence, she said, "I came here today to speak to you about something, Tyler."
He stared at her quietly, waiting for her to continue.
"I've thought things through and decided that I won't divorce you until I get all my memories back." She observed his expression carefully and said, "I keep feeling like I'm missing something important... so I'm not going to bring divorce up again until I remember everything."
With that, she paused and waited for Tyler to respond.
Tyler remained unwavering, but the look in his eyes darkened.
Vicky waited patiently for a while, but since he refused to react in any way, she could not tell what he was thinking.
"If that's it, then... I'll leave now," she said.
Tyler hummed in response and returned to reading the documents on his desk.
