Vicky rarely acted so calmly toward him, so Tyler was not as forceful as he usually was and planted a kiss on her cheek as he explained, "Nothing is going on between me and Gloria."

"I know that you got the wrong person back then, and now..." Vicky forced a smile. "She helped you out when you were drugged, and since you can't marry her, it only makes sense that you should take care of her at the very least."

Though Selene was responsible for drugging Tyler, Vicky was partially responsible as well. Had she not gone to Gloria to help Alex or agree to Gloria's terms, Tyler would have never walked into the trap.

Vicky would be overwhelmed by disgust whenever she thought back to it to the point that she no longer wished to be touched by Tyler. However, the more she resisted, the more forceful Tyler would become.

In the end, Vicky came to realize that Tyler forced himself on her to conquer, not to satisfy his need.

Whenever she gave up on resisting, he was more than capable of being gentle with her.

He stared at her, his eyes as dark as the night sky outside the window. "Nothing happened between me and her."

Vicky jolted. "What did you just say?"

"Nothing happened between me and her," Tyler repeated.

It took Vicky some time to process the information and she muttered, "Nothing...happened that day? But then, why didn't you..."

She was confused as to why he did not tell her the truth and lied to her instead.

He nibbled on her ear and mumbled, "It's your punishment."

It was the punishment for Vicky’s attempt to run and push him toward another woman.
