Madam Winters’s Fight For Her Children novel Chapter 164

Chapter 164

She would not disturb Mdm. Daugherty? She was clearly forcing Mdm. Daugherty to choose a side!

Would Mdm. Daugherty not know what Dew wanted?

While she did not leave the house, she had briefly heard about Daugherty Corporation from the servants at home.

There was a flash in her blurry yet witty eyes, and she slowly said, “I heard that you quit the Board of Directors and stepped down as general manager. That’s not directly related to Addy.”

Dew choked. Without Adina, nobody would have investigated her embezzlement. Why was it not related to Adina?

She gritted her teeth and spoke with grief. “Grandma, I know I made a mistake, so even if I get kicked out of the company, I won’t oppose it. But what did my friend do wrong? She’s been in the company for two years, and she found a lot of new clients for the company. But when Addy joined the Sales Department, she fired my friend. Isn’t she purposely trying to get at me?”

“I believe Addy has her reasons for doing that. She’s the manager of the Sales Department now, and she has the right to fire the staff in her department. We don’t have the right to interfere,” Mdm. Daugherty said coldly.

Dew clenched her fists tightly. She took a deep breath. Just as she was about to say something again, Mdm. Daugherty stared at her. “Dew, George called me yesterday.”

Dew was shocked, and she could not be bothered with other things at that moment. She anxiously asked, “Why did George call you?” “He was showing concern for my health. He even said that he’s found you a piano teacher,” Mdm. Daugherty said indifferently. “You used to learn piano for about ten years, and the teacher said you were very talented. After you became Daugherty Corporation’s heiress, you neglected the piano. Now you can pick it up again.” Dew bit her lip without answering.
