Chapter 476
“Dylan, you came…”
Dew blinked, and tears streamed down her face.
She grabbed onto the blanket pitifully. “Someone set me up, and the police put me into the detention center. I wouldn’t have called you if I wasn’t pregnant. But now that I’m pregnant with our child, I didn’t want the baby to know that her mother is a felon. Dylan, please find a way to get me out…”
Dylan looked at her with a complicated emotion in his gaze. “You lost weight.”
Dew cried harder. “Yes, I did. I’ve lost about six to eight pounds. I’m afraid the baby won’t get enough nutrition.”
“I’ve brought you chicken mornay. We’ll talk after you’re done eating.” Dylan put the bag that he was holding onto the ground. He then pulled out the container of mornay.
He opened the lid, scooped out a small portion of the mornay, and said gently, “Take your time. Don’t rush. I’ll be here with you.”
Dew was touched.
‘Finally, some warm affection after being put in detention for such a long time.
‘I’m truly grateful for the baby in my stomach.’
She ate the mornay and wiped her tears. “Dylan, do you think our child will be a girl or a boy? Who do you think the baby will look like…?”
Dylan lowered his gaze with a frown. He had a dark expression as he fed her like a robot, one mouthful after the other. Soon after, she finished it.
“My stomach hurts…” All of a sudden, Dew felt a sharp pain. “It hurts… It feels like something is coming out of
me….”
