Adina held Duke’s trembling hands and said with a smile.

"It’s just blood.I'm fine.I'll be okay after getting a bandage in the hospital."

Duke carried her and headed to the hospital.

The doctor washed off the blood on her face and noticed two wounds, one on the left and one on the right.They were about an inch long.

Adina noticed how distressed and regretful Duke looked.She said lightheartedly, "You have a scar on your face, and I have two.Neither of us is allowed to dislike the other because of the scars, okay?"

Duke hugged her as he stayed silent.

‘I would rather be disliked than have her face disfigured.

‘she’s a woman who loves making herself look beautiful.She loves to look at herself in the mirror, and she’s proud of her reflection.How could she accept herself being disfigured?"

"Addy, this won't happen again.Never..."

Duke whispered to Adina in his low and hoarse voice.Her eyes became teary.

‘I’m actually okay with it.I’ve been pretty my whole life.I don’t mind looking homely.

‘If I can’t stand being stared at by other people, I’ll just get plastic surgery...

‘But it’s going to be a pretty difficult one because I have two scars across the bridge of my nose.

‘Luckily, I’m not bothered by them.

The doctor treated her wounds and wrapped them in gauze.She was then discharged from the hospital.

As soon as she walked out of the hospital, she felt her wounds itching up.

"What happened? Is it uncomfortable?" Duke asked worriedly.

"It’s a little itchy."

Adina touched the wound through the gauze, "Is it starting to heal already?"
