Madam Winters’s Fight For Her Children novel Chapter 840

Chapter 840

“Grandma isn‘t in a good mood. Spend more time with her after you finish school, okay?” Adina stroked her children‘s heads before heading to the kitchen to prepare dinner.

Alden nodded.

“Does it have anything to do with Earl?”

Alden and George were aware of the story so Adina did not hide it from them.

She heaved a sigh and said, “Grandma will see the light as time goes by. Don‘t worry too much about her.” After that, Adina poured oil into the frying pan and prepared dinner skillfully.

The kitchen helper had prepared all of the ingredients for her in the morning. All Adina had to do was cook. She finished preparing seven dishes within half an hour. After they had dinner, the children read books and did their homework. Meanwhile , Adina and Duke worked in their study.

Adina was in the middle of studying some information regarding Jones Corporation. She was one of the candidates for the succession contest, so she had to gain a better understanding of herself and her competitor to prevail.

Duke passed her some documents.

“These are Jones Corporation‘s financial reports for the past few years and its major projects in the past six months. Take your time to read them.

The corners of Adina‘s lips curled upward. “Honey, that‘s very kind of you. How did you know I needed this information?”

Duke smiled. “How do you plan to return my kindness, then?”

Right after he spoke, Adina snorted. “Can you stop having dirty thoughts? Don‘t you feel tired from having sex several times a day?”

“No, I don‘t.” Duke pestered her. “You can continue reading the information tomorrow. Let‘s rest early tonight.”

His body temperature rose, but Adina avoided him.“ They‘ll have a shareholder meeting the day after tomorrow. It‘ll be too late to read all this tomorrow. Honey, don‘t do this… Duke, if you refuse to listen to me, I‘ll ignore you!”

The moment she raised her voice, Duke immediately kept himself in check. He obediently went to the side and worked on his documents.
