The more Fabian talked about that, the brighter the smile on his face. At the same time, there were also some looks of distress on his face.
“She should be innocent at this age. I don’ t want her to be so sensible.”
Madeline understood what Fabian meant. She felt the same way in her heart.
A child should be innocent and unaffected at their age, but Jack and Lily were already so sensible at such a young age.
Madeline sighed silently. Her heart was throbbing, and she felt a little pain.
“You should rest early. I’ll go back to my room first. I’ll take you to Evan’s house tomorrow morning. ”
“Yeah. ” Madeline nodded. She looked at Fabian’s back and she wanted to thank him again, but she felt that it would a little redundant.
After Fabian had left, Madeline made a video call to Jeremy.
Jeremy was surprised to learn that Madeline was presently at Fabian’s house.
“Did he agree to let you see Lily?” the man in the video asked in shock as he gently furrowed his bushy eyebrows.
Madeline smiled and nodded. “Not only did he agree to let me see Lily, but he’d also relieved the grudges between us.”
Upon hearing this, Jeremy was even more surprised.
“Linnie, what happened? Why did Fabian suddenly change so much? And what about Lily? Why didn’t I see our baby girl?”
Upon hearing this, Madeline spaced out for a second. She quickly returned to her senses and expressed as naturally as she could, “Lily needs to stay in the hospital tonight for some observation because of her body. I’ll be going to the hospital again tomorrow morning.”
After hearing Madeline’s answer, Jeremy kept feeling that something was amiss, but he did not think much about it. After expressing how much he missed Madeline and telling her to be careful, he hung up the phone.
Madeline was inwardly relieved. She was worried that Jeremy would ask more about Lillian.
