“You probably have something to say to me, right?“ Fabian asked directly.
Jeremy smiled faintly. “Let’s talk downstairs.“
As he spoke, he turned around and Fabian followed him afterward.
It was already very late, so Fabian asked the servant to make black tea and some snacks, leaving him and Jeremy in the living room.
Fabian knew that Jeremy had something to say to him, but Jeremy had been drinking tea at the moment, and he did not seem to want to speak.

“Jeremy, you don’t actually want Lily to stay with me, right?“
Jeremy took a sip of the black tea leisurely and then put down the teacup unhurriedly. His sharp but gentle gaze fell on Fabian’s face lightly.
“Are you saying that you can’t take care of Lily well?“ Jeremy asked rhetorically.
Fabian was taken aback. He hurriedly explained, “ Jeremy, you know I didn’t mean that.“

“Fabian, I have a question. How did you and Carter meet?“
“He was the one who contacted me. “ Fabian did not try to hide anymore. “He knows a lot about the Stygian Johnson Gang back in the days, and he also knows about my brother and Lana’s deaths. He led me to misunderstand you and Eveline, so… You know what happened afterward.“
Fabian did not say anything anymore. He believed someone as smart as Jeremy should have already figured it out.
“I had been really blindsided at first. My brother had always been very good to me. Although he was cruel to the outsiders, he cared for me meticulously. He deserved to die, but in my heart, he is still my dear older brother.“
Fabian recalled, closing his eyes in slight annoyance. He then leaned back on the sofa. “Actually, I knew in my heart that they deserved it, but…“
