"Maisie, where did you go?"
"I went to find Laura but I couldn’t find her,"
Maisie told Ava honestly and sat down.
Then, she glared in the direction where Bill’s office was.
"He must know."
Ava understood what Maisie was trying to say, and she comforted Maisie, saying, "Alright, don’t be mad.I believe you. Those things online are all fake. You and Mr.Lowe are innocent."
When Maisie heard Ava say that, she felt much better.
However, even though Ava believed her, their other colleagues did not.
During lunch, Ava wanted to treat Maisie to a meal but Maisie ran away after she said she wanted to use the restroom.
Ava waited for a while but Maisie was still nowhere to be seen.
Hence, when she was about to call Maisie, the nosey pair walked over.
"Ava, are you still waiting for Maisie? I saw her going to Mr.Lowe’s office just now."
Fiona told Ava with a righteous expression, "And you still believe there’s nothing going on between her and Mr.Lowe.Ava, she’s lying to you!"
"No."
Ava still insisted on her beliefs.
"I trust Maisie. You should stop overthinking so that you won’t get into trouble later.Even though I don’t know what’s going on between Maisie and Mr.Lowe, I’m sure it’s not that kind of relationship you have in mind."
After Ava said that, she walked away decisively.
While she was eating, she received Madeline's call. She told Ava that the trending tweet had been removed but it was not done by her.
Someone else beat her to it.
Ava figured Tom was the one who did that, and it was understandable why.
After she thought about it, Ava still felt apologetic.
Maisie got into this trouble after standing up for her.
