Chapter 2373
“Mrs. Whitman, if you don't want your delicate skin and tender flesh to be hurt, then cooperate.”
His meaning was very clear. He wanted to tie up Madeline as well, just in case.
“Maddie, don't listen to him. You can’t trust people like him at all. You should leave as soon as you can,” Ava advised, worried that Madeline would be implicated by her.
Madeline looked at Ava and gave her a reassuring smile.
“Ava, since I'm here, I'll return with you. Don't worry, I believe that money can solve many problems in this world, including the problems we’re facing now.”
After Madeline finished speaking, she simply stretched out her hands to the man. “Go ahead.”
“As expected of Jeremy’s woman. How courageous.” The man praised and quickly tied Madeline's hands. As soon as he was done tying her hands, the man received a call.
He glanced at Madeline and Ava who were already tied up and went outside to answer the phone with confidence.
Ava sighed depressedly. “Maddie, how did you get kidnapped?”
“It’s almost like what happened to you. He suddenly knocked on my car door and I didn't have time to react,” Madeline explained, not wanting to tell Ava that she had to compromise and get into the man's car because she was worried about her safety.
“Sigh.” Ava sighed again. “I didn't expect the grudge between Naya and me to get to this level.”
“This has nothing to do with you. Naya’s the one who’s sick in the head.” Madeline looked at the door and vaguely caught a glimpse of the man talking on the phone. “I'm afraid he’s talking to Naya.”
“I kidnapped them for money, of course. Isn't this what you keep reminding me about, Miss Mendez? One of them has a rich mother while the other’s husband is the richest man in Glendale. I have to get as much money as I can from them no matter what.”
“They can indeed get you a lot of money, but I have to remind you that Jeremy loves Eveline very much. Since you've kidnapped his wife, he won't forgive you even if you flee to the end of the world.” There was a hint of intimidation in Naya's words.
“And what good tips do you have, Miss Mendez?”
“I’m just saying... Just take it as though I’m talking to myself,” Naya said with a sinister smile on her face. “
Once you get the money, you should just leave those two there and have others rescue them. Otherwise, if those people manage to rescue the two before that, I’m afraid that you’ll have to spit out the money you already have. Not only that, you’ll spend the rest of your life in prison. If necessary, I think you can just kill them.”
