Valeria handed Alex over to Ella “You two get in the car first.” 

Ella nodded and went toward Valeria’s car while holding Alex in her arms. 

Loretta was suddenly speechless. There really wasn’t much she could say to explain. 

They had really just wanted to sneak a peek at Alex when they came. But after arriving and seeing how happy Alex was, they couldn’t help but want to get closer. 

“Im sorry, it was our mistake…” Loretta apologized. 

Clayton looked at his wife and felt a bit angry. After all, they were the elders, Valeria’s parents. Why did they have to be so submissive?

Besides, I’m not lacking in any parental love now.”

Loretta reached out and grabbed her hand. “Valeria! I know we wronged you. We made a mistake all those years ago when we carelessly lost you. But you can’t speak like this. It really hurts me and your dad.”

future?” 

Valeria asked. “So you’re not planning to help him regain control of the shares?” 

Tll help if needed, but he needs to taste a bit of bitterness. This kid is too arrogant and thinks too highly of himself. If he’s not made to face some hardship, he’ll stumble hard in the future. 

Clayton suddenly realized that Hackett had indeed become his son–in–law, but a former one.
