“No matter what, I want to fight with you.” Cordelia held his hand and looked into his eyes. She was gentle but determined. “Haven’t it always been like this? We promised that we wouldn’t let each other face everything alone.”
Zephyr felt warmth in his heart. He played with her hair.
He chuckled a moment later and said, “Mm-hmm, you’re right. Then what do you want to do, wifey?”
“I haven’t thought about it yet.” She smiled. Her stomach rumbled as she was hungry again.
Rather embarrassed, she looked at her husband while blushing.
He pulled her into his embrace and laughed out loud.
“Wifey, I know what you should do now. You should just start a Southeast Aciatic restaurant here. You can eat while making money! It’s perfect!”
Cordelia jumped up to punch him.
He voluntarily bent down for her to hit him. If she used more energy now, she would eat more later.
They walked toward the hotel in the city center while fooling around in laughter.
Not far away, a few pairs of eyes were watching them. After a moment of silence, one of the women said, “Miss, that’s the lady that Zen brought back from Centrolis.”
“Mm-hmm, I know.” The lady nodded. “I didn’t go to the family dinner. What a waste.”
“What are you planning to do, miss?”
“What are you saying?” The lady glared at her maid. “Since Zen brought his wife home, I naturally have to treat her well!”
She smiled.
She dressed like a lady from Chaiseland. She wore a cool coat with a plaid dress and loafers but did not look like the locals.
Her features were beautiful, and she looked kind, exuding subtle sexiness.
