Married at First Sight (Serenity and Zachary) novel Chapter 188

Did You See Everything Maria staggered forward. Each passing second, her vision became more and more blurred. Fortunately, she still managed to get to the area just outside the comfort rooms. With her consciousness quickly fading, she held onto the shared sink with both her hands. Then, she turned the faucet on for some water. But to her surprise, nothing flowed out. She thought that this was such a sick joke. Jade Hotel was known as the most luxurious hotel in Sheffield. How could there be no water in the sink? This was so unacceptable.

A second later, from the comer of her eye, she vaguely saw a sign beside the sink which read, “UNDER REPAIR“. What an unlucky coincidence. However, she couldn‘t just give up. Maria had to do something before she completely lost her consciousness. Still able to think, she tried to go inside the comfort room, knowing that there should be a sink in both the men‘s and ladies‘ rooms. But she was really dizzy at this point. She couldn‘t determine which side was the ladies ‘room.

Not able to clearly process things anymore, Maria just went with her gut, chose a side, and barged inside. She had no time to care whether it was the ladies‘ room or not.

Inside the comfort room, she rushed to the sink and turned the faucet on. Finally, a cold stream of water gushed out, and she was able to stimulate her facial nerves with it. After constantly splashing water on her face for a while, Maria‘s sleepiness eventually dissipated, and she became fully awake again. However, from her peripheral vision, she seemed to catch a glimpse of a person standing in front of the urinal nearest to her.

At this moment, Maria‘s eyes widened.

Wait! A urinal?! It meant that she actually barged into the men‘s room, and someone was there, witnessing her stupid mistake. The man in front of the urinal looked pretty tall and was wearing a suit. However, Maria was slightly confused upon seeing an electric wheelchair beside him. What was it for?

But of course, she didn‘t have time to think about it. She was in the wrong restroom, and she had to get out of there as soon as possible. Moreover, the atmosphere had already started to get awkward. She couldn‘t help but

wonder what the man was thinking of her. Without saying a word, Maria tried to walk out as if nothing happened. “Did you see everything?”

The man called from behind Maria and asked an unexpected question. Hearing this, Maria couldn‘t help but stop in her tracks. She couldn‘t believe that this was what he was going to ask her. Oh, how embarrassed she was. What was this person thinking? Couldn‘t he just ignore her instead? Clearly, she didn‘t intend to go inside the men‘s room on purpose. However, feeling that the man wouldn‘t get off her back, she gritted her teeth and sneered coldly. “Yes, I saw it. Are you going to hold me responsible just because I did?” After saying that, Maria went out of the comfort room without looking back. She used to be very composed, but now, her pace was somehow hurried. A moment after Maria left, the man smirked and sat back in his electric wheelchair. He took his time very well before he came out. At the same time, Maria didn‘t return to the cafe right away. Because she splashed water on her face, her collar had also got wet and she had to fix herself first. Otherwise, she wouldn‘t hear the end of it from Bill. Thus, she went to the ladies‘ room and made sure she looked decent enough before walking back to the cafe. “Oh, there she is.” Seeing that Maria was finally back, Bill pointed at her while letting out an unprecedented kind smile.
