Duncan was already planning the proposal.

“I’ve thought about it,” Liberty replied, “but when it’s time to actually do it, I get nervous. I don’t know if Sonny will accept it. I’ll be spending a lot of time in Jensburg—will Duncan be okay with that?”

She paused before continuing. “Thinking about it is one thing, but actually doing it is different. Duncan and I haven’t been together for very long, not even as long as I was with Hank.
