“Let’s go see how they’re doing,” Serenity said to Kiera. She couldn’t join in the children’s activities but was happy to watch them play. Kiera, who enjoyed having fun, was glad to accompany her. So, they followed Rowan and Sonny. 

“When are you and Young Master Bucham getting married?” Serenity asked, looking at Kiera. 

Kiera blushed a little and replied, “Julian wants it to be soon, but I still feel young, so I’m not in a rush.” After a pause, she added, “But I trust him completely, and my whole family likes him.” Serenity smiled. “I’ve heard Julian made quite an impression on your family. And Mr. and Mrs. Bucham are also easygoing. They’ve been looking forward to having a daughter-in-law for a long time.” 

The Bucham parents were indeed approachable around familiar faces. With the close bond between the York and Bucham families, they treated Serenity as a member of their own family, making her feel at ease. 

Julian’s case was unique. He could only see Kiera as the woman for him. He wanted to get married, start a family, and fully embrace his role as a husband and father. Mr. and Mrs. Bucham were aware of this and were supportive of his choice. Since Julian found his perfect match in Kiera, they were more than happy to welcome her into the family. 

Kiera nodded. “He wants us to get the marriage certificate first, then choose a good day for the wedding.” The Bucham family had already sent a formal betrothal gift to Kiera’s family. 

During their initial visit, Mr. and Mrs. Bucham brought a generous gift, but the Caron family initially declined. Once Kiera and Julian’s relationship was stable and both families approved, the Buchams added even more gifts to the betrothal package, which the Caron family eventually accepted. 

The lavish gifts from the Bucham family showed just how much they valued this marriage.
