Chapter 442 Redefining Her Relationship with Him

Word spread that Maggie had arrived, and Jersey responded with three words.

"Tell her to get out of here!"

"Yes!"

His subordinates exited the ward, closed the door, and explained to Maggie, "I'm sorry, Ms. Taylor. Mr. Bowman doesn't want to see you! Please go back!"

His subordinates were relatively polite, but even through the door, Maggie had heard Jersey roaring at her inside, telling her to leave.

The sound was more painful than a knife cutting through her heart. Maggie felt like she couldn't breathe from the pain, but she forced back her tears and said, "Okay, I'll leave. But I prepared the food for him. Can you please give it to him?"

"Take it back with you. Mr. Bowman won't want it."

The subordinates followed Jersey's orders and didn't allow Maggie to enter the room, nor did they accept any of her offerings.

Maggie had no choice but to leave with the thermos in her hand. As she turned around silently, tears uncontrollably streamed down her face.

But soon, she wiped away her tears. Cecelia was right. She needed to use actions to melt her son's cold heart. If one attempt didn't work, she could try again until he gave her a chance.

Since he refused to see her today, she would come back tomorrow!

"Are you giving up like this?"

A clear and beautiful voice came from afar, and Maggie looked up to see Cecelia walking elegantly towards her.

"Cecelia, you finally came! I... I can't enter the room. He refuses to see me!"

Cecelia entered the room and saw Jersey trying to sit up. "Don't move around and lie back down."

"Do you feel better?"

"I'm feeling a bit better."

Jersey lay back on the bed, staring at her without blinking, afraid that she would disappear if he blinked.

Cecelia placed the thermos on the bedside table and asked, "Are you hungry? Do you want to eat something?"

"Okay."

He thought Cecelia had made something delicious, so he nodded in agreement.

Cecelia raised the bedside table and opened the small tray, taking out the food. She poured out the fragrant chicken soup that had been simmered at the bottom of the thermos. Looking at the ingredients, she could guess that Maggie had put in a lot of effort for Jersey.

Smelling the aroma of the food, Jersey had a great appetite. "Did you make all of this for me?"
