“Mess up?”
Suspicious, Madeline raised her eyes and looked at Hannah, then she explained the situation in a calm tone.
“What kind of mess up do you mean? A contract is signed for every order, and both parties are obligated to abide by the rules of the contract.”
Hannah had never dealt with business matters before, so when Madeline asked, she was dumbfounded.
However, of course, she wanted to ask what would happen if Madeline was the one who messed up.
After thinking about it, Hannah spoke nonchalantly.
“I’m also a member of the Whitman family, so I’m concerned about the situation in the Whitman Corporation, of course. What do you think I’m asking?”
“A member of the Whitman family?”
Madeline curled her lips slightly into a smile when she heard those terms.
Hannah inexplicably felt that Madeline was mocking her when she saw Madeline’s smile.
“What are you smiling at? Aren’t you the one who agreed to let me join the family? Mr. Whitman also said that he would be responsible for me. Am I still not a part of the family?” Hannah retorted in a dissatisfied tone.
Madeline was still smiling. “Let’s get back to the original topic.”
She went back to the topic and then parted her lips to speak.
“ If the order were to mess up this time, and if the responsibility was on our side, the company will take full responsibility, of course. The compensation is secondary. The most important thing is that it would affect the company’s reputation.”
Madeline paused halfway through the sentence. Her delicate small face looked more serious.
