Madeline was very calm when she spoke, but the aura her eyes exuded was abnormally domineering.
Hannah was a little stunned at the sight of the cold expression on Madeline’s face. Hannah pursed her lips together, but she spoke not a single word.
Since her first interaction with Madeline, she had felt that Madeline was a soft and gentle young mistress from a rich family. Madeline looked calm and collected no matter the circumstances.
Tonight, however, Madeline was very different.
Her eyes and her temperament looked extraordinarily stern.
Hannah had to admit that she was frightened by this aura.
“Do you know what you had just said in front of the client?” Madeline questioned her coldly.
Hannah, stunned upon hearing that, then quickly recalled how she had introduced herself to that client named Mr. Sutton.
She had said that she was Jeremy’s person. Despite her uneasiness, Hannah, still displeased
with Madeline’s attitude, sneered arrogantly and disdainfully.
“What did I say? Was I wrong? Mr. Whitman and I are indeed…”
“You colluded with Carter shamelessly from the start and attempted to do something to my husband. After achieving your goals, you repeatedly address yourself as my husband’s person without shame.”
Madeline paused for a moment as she spoke. Her eyes, brimming with disdain, scanned Hannah’s face that was gradually turning red from embarrassment.
“We’re both women, and I’m already looking down on you regarding this.”
“What further shocked me was that you even have the audacity to come to the company to make a fuss. Hmph.”
Madeline lifted her cold and charming eyes then chuckled as she looked at Hannah.
