“Yes, I’m begging you, ” Madeline admitted very frankly, but Fabian was stunned by this.
For some reason, the atmosphere in the room quieted down immediately. It was so quiet that they could vaguely hear the sound of music coming from outside.
Seeing that Fabian was not speaking, Madeline walked to a seat beside him and sat down, picked up a wine glass, and poured herself a glass of red wine.
Fabian looked at Madeline in confusion. “Eveline, what are you doing?”
“Don’t you want to drink, Young Master Johnson? I’ll drink with you.”
“It won’t be too late to talk to me when you’re finally satisfied.”
After saying that, Madeline also drank forthrightly and finished her glass of wine.
Both Fabian and Evan were shocked by Madeline’s move.
They had not expected Madeline to be so unaffected and cool.
They also had not expected Madeline to drink two glasses at one go.
Fabian frowned. When he saw that Madeline was about to drink the fourth glass, he stretched out his palm to hold the glass.
“Enough.” He stopped her. “Don’t drink anymore. ”
Madeline smiled. “So, are you willing to talk to me now, Young Master Johnson?”
Fabian frowned. “Eveline, why are you so annoying? I’ve said that I don’t want to see you again, that I don’t want to have any trouble with you anymore. Why do you have to follow me?”
“You’re asking me why? I also want to know why. Why can’t my daughter go home with her mother?” Madeline smiled and asked in a calm tone.
Fabian was stunned, then he smiled.
He did not answer Madeline’s question, but instead, he turned his face away, picked up a wine glass, and drank again by himself.
