Married by Mistake: Mr. Whitman’s Sinner Wife novel Chapter 2074

She ran up to Carter, her beautiful eyes shooting out a sharp, cold light.

“Where is my husband? Where did you take Jeremy?“

Carter smiled unhurriedly when he looked at Madeline whose face was full of anxiety.

“There should have been an end to the business between Jeremy and me. Isn’t this fine? He wants his baby daughter to be safe, so he has to trade his own safety for it.“

Upon listening to Carter’s words, Madeline raised her hand suddenly and grabbed Carter’s collar in an imposing manner.

“Carter, hurry up and tell me. Where is my husband?“

Ignoring Madeline’s nervous questioning, Carter dismissively pushed away Madeline’s hand and gave her an evil smirk.

“You can rest assured that he’s still breathing and that he still has a heartbeat. He won’t die for the time being.“

‘Won’t die for the time being?’

Madeline could feel her heart skipping a beat; she was even more certain that Jeremy must be in an extremely unsafe place and was immobilized.

“Carter, you’re despicable! “ Madeline’s eyes were full of contempt.

“And you still want to become the monarch of St. Piaf. I really don’t regret exposing your true colors to everyone! “

When he heard what Madeline said, Carter’s smug smile stiffened in an instant.

His original seamless plans were all ruined by the partnership between Madeline and Shirley.

Even the thought of it at the present bugs him.

Out of humiliation, Carter flew into a rage and suddenly grabbed Madeline’s hand.

Carter said as he took a piece of paper from his jacket pocket and gave it to Madeline.

“I injected the little thing with a test reagent previously developed by Shirley. The thing is colorless and tasteless, and red spots will appear within it  hours after the injection. There wouldn’t be any symptoms at first, but the symptoms will gradually become more obvious soon.

“What I can tell you is that there’s no antidote for this test reagent yet. The recipe for that test reagent is written on this paper.“

There was no antidote for this test reagent. Madeline’s heartbeat sank, and she grabbed the paper that Carter handed over.

However, at this moment, she did not know if she could trust every word written on the paper.

Maybe this was yet another one of Carter’s traps.

Noticing Madeline’s hesitation, Carter smiled meaningfully. When he saw that Fabian was also looking at the piece of paper in concern, he took this opportunity to turn around. However, when he turned around, a group of armed men suddenly appeared, encircling Carter.
