Chapter 2306
Ava looked at the man, and for some reason, she felt a familiar feeling when she looked at him. The man seemed to be stunned when he saw Ava. However, he quickly looked away and walked toward Tom.
“Tom, it's really you. Why are you here?”
“Dr. Long, long time no see. I’m here because I sent a friend here. What about you? When did you return to Glendale?” Tom asked with a smile. Upon hearing the words, the man glanced at Ava meaningfully. “Friend? Don’t you mean girlfriend? You sure have a good eye, Tom.”
“Dr. Long, you’ve misunderstood. She’s really not my girlfriend,” Tom explained seriously. Then, he lowered his eyes and glanced at the time. “I need to take care of some things, so I need to head off. Let me treat you to a meal ina few days, Doctor. We'll keep in touch.”
The man nodded. “Yes, let’s.”
Tom did not say anything else and quickly drove away.
People were walking back and forth along the road, but Ava felt a little awkward for some reason.
When she saw the doctor smiling politely at her, she also returned a polite smile. Then, she turned around and walked quickly toward her apartment door. 1
The doctor surnamed Long looked at Ava's back and frowned thoughtfully.
After Ava entered the building, she quietly waited for the elevator to come down.
Just as the elevator was about to arrive, she heard footsteps behind her.
She glanced behind her casually and found that the person approaching her was the man who had just greeted Tom.
The elevator arrived at this moment, so Ava went i nand pressed the floor she was going to. The man followed her into the elevator, but even when the elevator was ascending, he still did not press any buttons.
Ava was not someone who felt uncomfortable even when meeting someone new, but a relationship like this would make her feel particularly awkward.
