Chapter 2394
Ava looked in surprise at Naya’s mother, Esther. She was standing at the door of her apartment. It was hard to imagine how long Esther had been waiting here.
When Esther saw Ava and Tom walking together, she immediately let out a sarcastic chuckle. “Tsk tsk, Ava. I really underestimated you. No, everyone has underestimated you.”
Ava smiled when she heard that. “Oh, really? Mrs. Mendez, you might as well be direct and just say what you want to say.”
Esther was extremely pissed when she saw Ava's arrogant attitude, but she still pretended to be calm and sneered.
“Because of your slander, my daughter was accused to be a ruthless vixen who tried to destroy other people's relationships. Everyone thinks that Naya is an unruly person, but Ava, what qualifications do you have to slander my daughter like that? You hooked up with Daniel and now you're with Tom, so why are you still pretending to be innocent?”
“Mrs. Mendez, I won’t split hairs with you for the sake of our families’ relationship. But don't slander my relationship with Ava. I only sent her home because it’s on the way back to my place,” Tom emphasized with a serious look on his face.
Of course, Esther did not believe it. “The boss deliberately sending an employee home in the middle of the night? I won’t believe it even if you say there’s nothing going on between you two.”
“Yeah, so what if my boss sent me home? What does it have to do with me whether you believe it or not? I advise you not to come to my apartment to trouble me again. The next time I see you, I'll definitely call the police.”
Ava's warned sternly before turning to give Tom a friendly smile.
“Mr. Lowe, thank you very much for today, and thank you for sending me back. See you next week.” After Ava thanked Tom politely, she went straight to the door of the apartment and pushed Esther, who was blocking the door, away.
“Don't stand in front of my food. If you have time to do these meaningless things, it's better to request for a few more visits to the prison and enlighten your precious daughter who’s filled with distorted thoughts and wrong world views.” 2
