Tom nodded lightly. "Have you ever thought that Naya is like this because of her mother?”

“I have.” Ava pursed her lips and smiled. Then, she suddenly felt apologetic again. “I'm sorry, Mr. Lowe. The person Naya's mother wants to target is me. I didn't expect to get you involved too."

“Don't say that. We have clear a conscience, and we can't predict what the next step will be for those with bad intentions. Just be yourself and protect yourself. That'll be enough."

Tom's answer gave Ava a particularly calm feeling.

She indeed had that mindset. She thought that Tom would think that way because he had been in the business world for so long, so he must be used to these boring trifles.

“Mr. Lowe, what happened in the office? It sounded like a lot of people were making noise,” Ava asked curiously.

Tom met Ava's confused gaze with gentle eyes. “That woman probably hired someone to come cause trouble for you. I've already asked someone to deal with it."

Tom said, his expression gradually became solemn.

"Ava, I think you should be careful these days. I keep feeling that something might be wrong after seeing Naya's mother waiting for you at the door of your apartment that night. Normal people won't do something so strange.”

Tom reminded her kindly.

Ava also thought that Tom was right. “I plan to stay at my friend's house for a while. It's better to have someone looking out for me.”

Tom paused slightly. "You mean your boyfriend Daniel's place?"
