Chapter 489: Wedding Day-III

Just then, Sebastian came over. "What are you two talking about to make this little girl so serious?"

"I did nothing. Maybe she needs to have some fun instead of sitting here next to this old lady," Julia commented as she signaled Sebastian to do something.

As he got the clue, Sebastian quickly held Meira’s hand, asking her to get up. "Let’s go."

Surprised, she asked, "Where?"

"Just come with me," he said, urging her more, only to have her give up finally. fгeewebnovёl.com

By now, Sebastian and Meira had become good friends, and both got along really well.

"Where are we going?" Meira asked, trying to free her hand, but he didn’t let go and replied, "To dance."

It shocked her. "D-Dance? I can’t," she tried to make him stop.

Sebastian stopped and looked at her. "Sure you can," he said, looking around. "Are they even dancing? They’re just moving along with the music, enjoying it. You just have to do that."

"But..."

"No but," Sebastian said, dragging her toward the dancing area and standing facing her. She looked at him, seemingly lost as to what to do.

Sebastian placed her one hand along his shoulder—the one he held in his hand—while the free one rested on the small of her back, pulling her a little closer.

The closeness made her a little awkward, but she heard him say, "Don’t be like this. Just move with me."

From a distance, Julia was cheering for them, which Meira saw, and she finally did as Sebastian told her.

As they moved along to the music with Sebastian guiding her, he complimented her, "See, you’re doing really well."

She gained some confidence and realized it was not as difficult as she had thought. Somehow, Sebastian had made her comfortable—not feeling anything awkward despite him being so close.

She looked at him and smiled lightly, both of them moving along with ease. But then, over his shoulder, her gaze landed on the man who was with others but was looking at them. Noah’s gaze on them made her a little nervous.

"What happened?" Sebastian asked.

She shook her head and made sure not to look at Noah.

Meanwhile, Rowan looked at Noah. "Where are you looking while ignoring our talk?" he asked, then followed Noah’s gaze. "Sebastian? Are you keeping watch on your assistant now? Let the poor guy enjoy."

Noah didn’t respond—he knew he wasn’t looking at Sebastian.

"I don’t think he’s that interested in Sebastian," Morison commented. "The person of interest seems to be someone else."

"Who?" Rowan noticed. "Wait, that young girl with Sebastian?"

Noah didn’t respond and instead asked, "Would you two like to have more to drink?"

Rowan placed his hand on Noah’s shoulder. "Noah, you don’t have to do it for us now. You’re no longer Justin’s assistant. Now you’re one of us, so be at ease."

"True," Morison agreed and added, "And you can continue watching whoever you like—young, old—we won’t bother you."

Rowan and Morison exchanged teasing glances.

On the other side, Sebastian’s phone rang. They stopped, and he read the message, his brows furrowing.

"What happened?" she asked, worried at his reaction.

"Nothing," he put the phone back and said. "I have to leave for some time. Till then..." He looked around and, as if finding something, held her hand and moved in a certain direction.

"My dear boss, can you accompany my dance partner for a while till I return?" Sebastian asked Noah. "You are the only free man at the moment who she is familiar with—"

Meira understood what he was doing and interrupted him, "No, it’s fine..."

"Sure," Noah had already answered Sebastian.

"Thank you. You are a lovely boss," Sebastian said as he pushed Meira toward Noah. "Make sure she enjoys it," and left.

Meira could only watch in disbelief as Sebastian simply abandoned her like that—and with a person she didn’t expect at all.

"Shall we?" Noah asked as he held out his hand.

Meira couldn’t say no, as it would be insulting. She quietly placed her hand in his and said, "I can’t really dance. It was just Sebastian..."

"Neither do I," Noah said before she could explain more.

’Great, both of them don’t know how to dance,’ Meira thought. ’I hope I don’t end up humiliating him.’

Rowan and Morison looked at each other as if to say they got it right.

As they started, just like how she danced with Sebastian, Meira felt something different—something she hadn’t felt with Sebastian. This closeness with Noah felt different, and it affected her; her heartbeats were a little chaotic. She could feel the warmth of his palm at the small of her back even through the fabric of her dress. The hand holding hers made her realize how big his hand was, while hers was just...

Anyways, they continued to move along with the music gently. It felt natural and just in flow.

’He said he didn’t know how to dance, but he’s just as smooth as Sebastian was,’ Meira wondered.

Julia, sitting away, felt overjoyed. Sebastian needs some reward for what he did, she thought. But where did that kid go? There was no sign of Sebastian.

Natalie, who was still clinging to Justin, finally noticed something surprising and said, "Oh my God! What am I seeing?"

Justin followed her gaze and saw Noah and Meira.

"I’m sure that poor girl is going to faint if they continue it for long," Natalie commented.

"You dare look at others while being with me," he warned.

She pouted a little. "I was just looking out for your sister."
