Chapter 57
Lianne was amused by the two and said with a smile, “If you two continue to praise me like this, I won’t be able to recognize myself!”
Sierra said, “Can’t we praise you if you’re amazing?”
Tyler chimed, “Yeah!”
Lianne suddenly said seriously, “Why must you think that men and women can only be involved romantically? We have been with Tyler for more than 20 years. Have we ever been tempted by him?”
Sierra said, “But is Tyler even a man?”
Lianne replied, “Yeah, he doesn’t really count.”
Tyler retorted, “Ladies, watch your words!”
Lianne pondered for a while. “Why do you guys think I have an affair with my boss?”
Sierra asked, “Are you really having an affair with him?”
Lianne glared at her. “Stop fooling around. I’m asking you a serious question.”
Sierra’s answer was simple. “It’s because I like dramatic romance stories of domineering CEOS falling in love with their secretaries. Think about it, a handsome, young, and rich CEO falls in love with a young and beautiful female assistant. The two work together every day and start dating. Just thinking about it makes me swoon. Don’t you think so?”
Lianne glared at her again. “Damn girl, you’re hopeless! Ty, what do you think?”
Tyler replied, “I’m afraid you’ll slap me if I say it.”
Lianne said, “Tell me. I promise not to slap you.”
Tyler answered, “I’m with Sierra on this.”
Lianne was speechless.
Lianne quietly fumbled for the phone in her bag, ready to call for help. “Who is your madam?”
“Ms. Simpson, you’ll know when you get there.” The strong man seemed to have read Lianne’s thoughts. He grabbed her bag and shoved her into the car so fast that Lianne did not have time to
react.
Two strong men sandwiched Lianne, one on either side of her. Lianne struggled but to no avail.” Who the hell are you? Do you know what you are doing?”
One of them said, “Ms. Simpson, as long as you cooperate with us, I promise we won’t touch a hair of yours.”
Who would believe a kidnapper’s words? Lianne looked at the man coldly. “This is abduction! It’s illegal! If you let me go now, I will pretend this never happened. Otherwise, you could go to prison for ten years for kidnapping…”
“Heh…” The man glanced at Lianne as if she was a fool.
Lianne also knew it was useless to talk about the law with this kind of person, but this was the only way she could think of to save herself at the moment.
