Marry Me Twice (Kennedy and Charlotte) novel Chapter 260

As night fell, the city was ablaze with lights.

Autumn had been a long time, the night wind was much stronger. There was always a kind of illusion of winter.

Charlotte forgot to take a coat when she came out, and now she was shivering standing at the intersection.

She didn't go to the company all day, but went to the hospital for a maternity check-up.

After all, she had been pregnant for a long time, and her physical condition was not very good. So she went to have a check-up because she was worried.

The result pleased her very much.

The doctor said that the baby was healthy, but her body was weak and more supplements were needed, otherwise the child would suffer malnutrition.

As long as she gave birth to this baby, she would have one more family in the world.

She was thinking, after leaving Kennedy, she would find a new job, and then bring up the child, teach it to read and write, and it would run after her.

At the thought of these pictures, Charlotte's heart softened into a pool of water.

It felt so good.

It was her family.

Charlotte had not felt this way for a long time.

Although she was the daughter of the Wilson family, she had never felt the warmth of it.

As another gust of cold wind blowing, Charlotte was shivering, subconsciously folded her arms.

The remote lights of a car hit, Charlotte became so dazzled that she could not open her eyes. When the lights dimmed down, she found that the car had stopped in front of her.

With the window down, a familiar handsome face appeared in front of her.

“Ms. Wilson, I saw you far away.”

Surprised, Charlotte saw Megan open the car door and get out. Zain, with a pale face, was sitting behind.

She didn't expect to meet them here.

“I saw you many times in the hospital. Are you sick, Ms. Wilson?” Megan asked with concern. Charlotte smiled and shook her head, “No, I just came here for a routine inspection. Why are you here?”

“Passing by, we saw you from a distance, so we came here. I didn't expect to see you. Are you waiting for the bus?”

Charlotte was embarrassed. Her pale cheeks were flushed by the wind. She nodded, “Yes.”

“Get it the car, we can give you a ride.”

Hearing this, Charlotte shook her head awkwardly, “Maybe it's troublesome. It's OK. I'll wait for a while.”

“Get in.” Zain heard her refusal, frowning.

His tone was cold and clear without any emotion but deterrence. Charlotte was stunned for a moment, and then obediently opened the door and got in the car.

After getting in the car, Zain found she wore a little and her pink lips were blown dry. He asked, “How long have you waited?”

“Not long, I just came out.”

“Lying is not a good habit.” Zain withdrew her eyes, sounding displeased. “Although you think it's a white lie,” he said.

Megan sitting in front was surprised to hear that. Through the rearview mirror she took a look at Charlotte. As expected Charlotte was embarrassed and then she looked at Zain, but she said nothing.

Megan raised her lips and said, “Ms. Wilson, sorry, but Mr. Nelson is good.”

Hearing that, Zain frowned, “Mind your own business.”

Megan smiled, turned her head and said nothing.

The atmosphere inside the car seemed to become warm. Charlotte blinked, in fact, she did not mind. She just did not expect Zain would expose her lie.
