“I'm so abrupt. I'm sorry. Lanna, if you have anything to do, go ahead and do it.”
“All right.”
Lanna left quickly.
After she left, Charlotte put the laptop back on the table and returned to the table. As she was to have dinner, the doorbell rang again.
When she went to the door to see who it was, her phone rang. Yanis sent her a message.
“Open the door, I am at the door.”
“I heard the sound of your phone, open the door and meet me.”
Charlotte, “......”
She took a look and did see Yanis standing there......
Charlotte opened the door. Yanis saw her and unceremoniously squeezed in, “What are you doing? I heard the sound of your mobile phone. And it took a long while for you to open the door, don't you trust me?”
Charlotte looked at her helplessly. “What? I can’t be slow?”
Yanis walked in and closed the door, then sighed, “Wow, you really know how to choose, the view is good here.”
Yanis went inside and couldn't help staring big eyes to see the table full of food, “Wow, your life is too good...There's so much to eat.”
She and Charlotte were familiar, so she unceremoniously sat down, “I was worried that you would be starving in the hotel and I brought you breakfast. I did not expect I was worried for nothing.”
Charlotte walked over to her and sat down. “Since you're here, why don't you sit down and eat with me? I can't eat all this by myself anyway.”
“Sure.” Yanis picked up a pancake to bite, then asked with a smile, “You have adjusted your mood? Yesterday you were depressed.”
Charlotte remained silent for a few seconds before she said, “What else can I do? Continue to be depressed? I ought to have known the result from the beginning. I made a big mistake in having false hopes in the course of this marriage.”
She dropped her eyes and picked up a spoon to scoop up a mouthful of soup.
Yanis looked at her and couldn't help sighing.
“That's not true. There are a lot of things that are beyond our control, especially feelings, and you're married... As a couple, it's natural that you like him. Even though you're apart now, I feel like... Break it up, there is so little lack of trust between you that a separation might be a good thing.”
At this point, Yanis again secretly looked at her, bit her lower lip and said, “Maybe a few years later, you are good?”
A few years later...
Hearing that, Charlotte could not help but smile, “There should not be another chance. Kennedy disdains me. There are many women around him want to be his wife, and those women are better than me. Maybe in a few days, he will be with other women. It is my extravagant request. Besides, I'm not going back to him.”
Yanis did not speak, biting the pancake, feeling bitter in the mouth.
The two men ate the breakfast in silence.
After breakfast, Yanis covered her stomach sitting there with satisfaction, “Who got the breakfast ready for you? Why were there so many? When I came here, I met a woman who was going down the stairs, and she seemed to be going out of your house. Did she?”
“Yes.” Charlotte nodded and said nothing more.
