Grace?
The corridor was empty. There was no one in sight.
Biting her lower lip, Alice was in daze looking at the back of Kennedy’s head.
He didn't believe her, did he?
As she was thinking, Kennedy said nothing but walked into the ward, and then closed the door and took Alice in.
Alice was angry that he was silent.
She wanted to shake off his hand, but was afraid that she would hurt his injury, so she could only endure it and asked, "Don’t you believe me?"
Hearing that, Kennedy took a look at her and chuckled, "I believe you. Even if I don't believe anyone, I will believe you."
Then when she asked him to see her and listen to her explanation, why did he refuse?
She almost called him a liar, but she held it back.
She found herself so tolerant.
At this thought, Alice turned around and avoided his eyes and said in a cold voice, "Why did you pull me in? If she's really here, maybe I can find her."
"And then?" Kennedy asked.
"What?" Alice widened her eye and wondered why he asked such a question.
"What will you do if you find her? You think she'd be here in the middle of the night for no reason? Haven't you woken up from that day? Or..." Kennedy said word by word, "I blocked the sulfuric acid so that you can be safe, so you could not predict danger? And you feel you can show up in front of her? Don’t you fear that she would do it again?"
In the end, Kennedy’s tone turned cold.
Alice widened her eyes in disbelief, "What do you mean? Are you accusing me?"
Kennedy did not speak.
Alice felt it funny and then said, "Why do you think it would happen?"
His was expressionless and remained silent.
Alice fixed her eyes on him, "If not you, I would not be entwined with such a horrible woman. You can have blind date with her, why get me involved? If not because you came to me, Grace would not think it was I seduced you and then went against me. Who are you now angry at?"
"... I don't like her, why should I have a blind date with her?"
"You don't like her, but you had been on blind dates with her several times? Are you kidding me?" Alice was irritable and got irrational.
Kennedy probably was angry and probably wanted to explain to her, he took her wrist and said in a cold voice, "Don't you know the reason? If I remember correctly, you were present on all those occasions?"
Alice, "..."
After she was stunned for a long time, she shook off the hand of Kennedy.
"I did not know that. If I had known you were there, I certainly wouldn't have been there."
“Really?” Kennedy sneered aloud, "But you were there and now you are now in my ward to take care of me. Alice, don't you feel that things develop in violation of your plan?"
Alice’s face changed.
He was right. It did not develop as her plan, but towards incredible direction.
It was a terrible thing.
At this thought, Alice turned around and said in cold voice, "That is not my business. No matter how it develops, you had blind date with her, so go ahead, I......"
Before she could finish her words, Kennedy rudely interrupted her, "I like you, why should I have a blind date with her?"
