The second day

Alice seemed to have smelt the fragrance of food in her dream. She touched her stomach and turned over.

She didn't get anything to eat because she went to a party last night.

When she came back, she only ate a bowl of noodles and rested with Jack. Now she was really hungry , so she smelt the aroma of food.

Alice took a look at the sun outside the winder, pulled out her phone to see the time, and at this hour, she found Jack who was supposed to sleep next to her disappeared.

After being stunned for a moment, Alice changed her clothes and went downstairs, only to see food on the table.

She wondered if Yanis was back.

When she got to the kitchen, she saw a boy standing on a stool, with his little hands stretched out, struggling to get something from the cupboard.

Seeing this scene, Alice’s face slightly changed, but she did not make a sound, and did not stepped forward until Jack got the things down.

“What are you doing?”

Hearing Alice’s voice, Jack was startled, blinked his black eyes and said with an innocent expression, “Mommy, I am cooking.”

“Cooking?” Alice frowned, “When did you learn to cook? Do you have any idea how dangerous that was? You stood so high, what if you fall down?”

When she saw him standing on a chair to take things, Alice felt her heart was to jump out of her throat, for fear that he would fall down accidentally.

However, she dare not yell at him at the first place, afraid that he would be scared.

“Mommy, don't worry, I will be very careful and I will not to fall down!”

He seriously said to Alice, walked forward to place the bowls on the table. He turned around to Alice, “Mommy, come over to have breakfast.”

Alice was angry with his move and stood in situ.

Seeing that she did not move, Jack came over and held her hand, but he failed to pull her, so he had to say in a sweet voice, “Mommy, I am sorry, I won't stand so high next time.”

“Next time?” Alice squinted her eyes.

So Jack changed his words, “There will be no next time, Mommy. It is the breakfast I made, will you not eat? It will be cold soon.”

At this, Alice was heart softened.

Yeah, her son made her breakfast early in the morning. How could she skip it? She could not make his effort in vain.

“Thanks, Mommy! Mommy, eat more. If you like it, I can make it every day.”
