It was late at night, and the cold wind was biting. Not a single person could be seen in the alley. Sonya looked around, feeling as if a pair of malicious eyes was staring at her. 

After getting back to the restaurant, she glanced at the time and thought about sending Henry back to his apartment. After that, she would hurry to the old house to pick up Milton. 

With this thought in mind, she stepped onto the stairs. Just then, she heard a noise beside her. She turned her head and saw a man pressing a woman against a nearby tree trunk, kissing her. 

The man was tall, contrasting with the woman who was very petite and delicate. They kissed passionately, oblivious to the fact that they were on the street. 

Sonya withdrew her leg from the stairs, took a deep breath, and turned around to leave. However, Jasmine saw her and called out to stop her. 

“Sonya, Henry just came to look for you. Did you see him? He…”

As Henry turned around, Lyla’s face also appeared. She tightly leaned against the tree trunk like a startled little rabbit. 

But when Jasmine saw Lyla’s face, she frowned. 

“Henry, come with me!” she snapped at Henry. 

“Jasmine, I think I have to go back…” 

“Come with me!” Jasmine shouted. 

Henry pursed his lips and followed Jasmine into the house. 

Sonya felt quite speechless about this. Jasmine asked her to take Henry home, but Henry called Lyla over to pick him up. 

She complained in her heart, “He really should at least tell me about it. I’ve waited for so long. “Well, forget it. I don’t care.”
