Everyone was stunned, especially Luna Stone, Seraphina West, and Julian Jennings. They’d declared her unfit for the party, called her a clown, and threatened to throw her out. But what gave them the right? Jason Reynolds was the true host. He was showing Sonya respect, while they were insignificant. 

Sonya disliked the party and dancing, but she enjoyed watching their faces crumble. She walked toward Jason Reynolds. 

He extended his hand.“Ms. Ella, thank you for accepting.” 

Sonya took his hand.“I might step on your feet.” 

“Then be gentle.” 

Sonya recalled his earlier antics on the beach and couldn’t help but chuckle. 

“You’d better forget that image.” 

“I’ll try.” 

As they danced, others joined. Luna Stone and Julian Jennings approached. “Jason Reynolds, it’s my birthday. Won’t you dance with me?” Luna Stone pouted. Jason Reynolds glanced at her.“I lent you my house for this party. Must I dance with you too?” 

“Just one dance. Give me 

face,” Luna Stone said, her face darkening. 

“Why should I?” 

“Then… why are you dancing with her? What gives her the right?” 

“She’s my honored guest. Can you compare yourself to her?” 

Luna Stone’s face fell. She stormed off. 

Julian Jennings frowned, watching the pair. 

“Young Master Reynolds, would you mind if I danced with Sonya?” 

Jason Reynolds looked at Sonya.“Ms. Ella, would you like to dance with him?” 

Sonya sneered.“I’m not worthy, am I?” 

“Oh, but he’s Second Young Master Jennings.” 

“He thinks he’s too good for everyone.” 

“He’s arrogant and condescending.” 

They insulted Julian Jennings, who stormed off, leaving Sonya feeling triumphant. 

“Hey, you’re wearing a ring,” Jason Reynolds 

“I’m getting married soon.” 

“Who’s lucky enough to marry Ms. Ella?” 

“You might know him.” 

“Oh?”

She suspected Henry worked for Reynolds Corp, in a high position, to have access to the private island and leave his treasures there. 

“Actually,” Jason Reynolds leaned closer, “I quite like you. Want to dump your fiancé and have a whirlwind romance with me?” 

Sonya immediately released his hand, noticing the playful glint in his eyes. He was teasing her! 

“My fiancé is wonderful. Young Master Reynolds might not measure up.” 

Jason Reynolds put his hands in his pockets.“Playing hard to get?” 

“Young Master Reynolds probably hasn’t heard much truth. You’re a bit of a playboy, great friendship, not marriage.” 

Jason Reynolds laughed. “So we’re friends then?” 

“Olivorre.” 

They shook hands.

Sonya returned to her room and Mrs. Maggie made her seafood noodles. 

“Ms. Ella, Young Master left a room for you in the main villa.” 

Sonya shook her head.“I prefer to stay here. I can chat with 

you.”

Luna Stone, Seraphina West, and Julian Jennings sat under a parasol, drinking coffee, when they beckoned Sonya over. Sonya thought they were ready to leave but they were setting her up. “Sonya, this is my brother, Jenny Stone. You probably met him in college.” 

Jenny Stone looked at Sonya with intense scrutiny. 

“Sonya, Jenny has always liked you, but because you were with Julian, he hid his feelings. Now… consider him,” Seraphina West said. 

Sonya scoffed. They were insane. 

“You haven’t changed. You’re still beautiful,” Jenny Stone said, standing up, attempting to guide her to a seat. 

Sonya dodged him.“Don’t touch me.” 

Jenny Stone shrugged.“I really like you, but you need to change your attitude.” 

“You’re delusional.” 

She started to leave. 

“I’ll give you 50,000 a month. Not bad.” 

Sonya couldn’t believe her ears. She looked at everyone, her gaze settling on Julian Jennings. 

“Julian Jennings, what are they implying? Do you understand?” 

Julian Jennings’s face darkened.“You got close to Jason Reynolds for this, didn’t you?”
