Chapter 47: The Day Before the Wedding

Henry returned to the Reynolds family mansion. As the Reynolds crown prince, his wedding was the talk of New York, requiring him to schmooze with business and political elites. Sonya didn’t need to worry about the arrangements; the Reynolds family handled everything. However, their villa needed wedding decorations –“double happiness” characters, floral arrangements, and red balloons. 

The day before the wedding, Lily Lane and Ashley took time off from filming; they were Sonya’s best friends in New York. Simon and Auntie Sterling arrived in the afternoon to help with decorations. 

“Sonya, come see this giant ‘double happiness‘ character! It’s eight feet tall!” Lily Lane called. 

Sonya was video–chatting with Henry. 

“I’m coming down,” she told him. 

“Okay,” 

Henry was lounging in a recliner; the setting sun cast a warm glow on his profile. He’d been busy, 4 but always called morning and night. They didn’t need to talk; just being together was enough. “Should I hang up?” 

He smirked.“Miss me?” 

“A little,” Sonya blushed. 

“I miss you.” 

“How much?” 

“Whenever I close my eyes, I see your face. I want to kiss you, hold you tight, and…” 

“Stop!” Sonya interrupted. 

Henry chuckled. “I haven’t thought of that much. But *you* have.” 

Sonya scoffed; he was teasing her. 

A knock came at his door. 

“Sir, Chairman Ella of FutureGo is here. The Chairman wants you to greet him. 

Henry’s eyes flickered.“Is Chairman Jennings of Jennings Corporation still downstairs?” 

“Yes, sir. He’s been waiting to see you.” 

“Tell them to sit for a while.” 

“Yes, sir.” 

Henry turned back to Sonya, licking his lips.“Where were we?” 

Sonya stared into his eyes; she’d seen a flash of cunning. 

“Oh, I think we were talking about how you want more.” 

Sonya glared; Henry laughed. 

“Alright, I need to deal with those two old foxes.” 

Ending the call, Sonya came downstairs. Everyone was busy. She felt a pang of guilt. Coming

outside, she saw a group of 

teenagers.

They were pointing and whispering outside her villa. Seeing her, they became agitated. 

“It’s her! She lives across from Seraphina!” 

“How shameless! Mr. Jennings is marrying Seraphina, and she’s still clinging to him!” 

“She’s trying to break up their marriage, but he doesn’t want her!” 

“She’s having her own wedding, deliberately causing trouble!” 

They were Seraphina’s fans? 

Sonya glanced across the street; Seraphina was watching from her doorway. Her place was also decorated, and many people were there. 

An excited fan rushed in, shoving the eight–foot “double happiness” character, then stomped on it. Other fans followed, trampling the character. 

“What are you doing?! This is my house! Get out!” Sonya yelled. 

Her voice was drowned out by the fans‘ insults–calling her a ‘slut” and a “homewrecker“-while Seraphina stood by, allowing it. 

Sonya’s aunt came out with a bucket of cleaning water, throwing it at the fans. Auntie Sterling brandished a mop, and Simon, a kitchen knife. 

The fans, shouting, retreated. 

Seraphina approached. 

“Everyone, calm down. It’s a misunderstanding.” 

“Seraphina, she’s deliberately messing with you!” a fan cried. 

Seraphina gently wiped the fan’s face, then looked at Sonya.“You’re getting married tomorrow?” 

Sonya took a deep breath.“Yes. So?” 

“Of course, but I have a wedding invitation for you. You probably won’t be able to come. Olivorch a shame–it’s at your favorite place, SeaCloud Castle.” 

Seraphina produced an invitation. 

Sonya took it.“I’ll be there tomorrow.” 

“You’re getting married. How will

make it?” 

Sonya gave Seraphina her own invitation.“It’s funny–I’m also getting married at SeaCloud Castle.” 

Seraphina’s face hardened, but then she laughed. 

“Sonya, are you crazy? Do you know who’s getting married at SeaCloud Castle tomorrow? Reynolds! Are

saying you’re the Reynolds 

Her fans laughed, calling Sonya delusional.

“Seraphina, if I am getting married at SeaCloud Castle tomorrow, will you be embarrassed?” Sonya raised an eyebrow. 

“If you’re getting married at SeaCloud Castle tomorrow, I’ll slap myself!” Seraphina sneered. “But what if you’re not?”
