Chapter 57: The Reynolds Family’s Daughter–in–Law Bullies People Director Davis called two executive directors, Luna Stone, and her agent. Lily Lane and Sonya waited in the hotel hallway, ready to confront Luna Stone if necessary. Workplace bullying was a delicate issue. Director Davis wouldn’t tolerate it but also had to consider the power dynamics at play.

entering the room, Luna Stone sneered at Sonya and Lily Lane. “What are you daydreaming about? You don’t think I’ll actually be fired, do you? Half my scenes are already filmed; firing me would cost the production a fortune. And you think I got this role without backing? Ha!” 

Lily Lane fumed. “You’re bullying people, and you’re proud of it?” 

Of course, I’m proud! I’m bullying *you* two!” Luna Stone narrowed her eyes. “If Director Davis finds me at fault, I’ll quit immediately. Then he’ll beg me to come back. But if I continue, I have a condition–delete all of Lily Lane’s scenes.” 

“You… you have no right!” 

“Because you’re stupid for reporting me. Oh, and you think your friend marrying into the Reynolds family will protect you? Hilarious. Reynolds is powerful, but they might not care about her.” 

Luna Stone sneered at Sonya before entering the room. 

“Sonya, they won’t really delete my scenes, will they? I need this role to boost my career, and I have debts…” 

Sonya held Lily Lane’s hand, urging her to calm down. 

“Let’s wait for the outcome.” 

They waited until nightfall when the door burst open, and Luna Stone stormed out. She glared at Sonya.“You’re bullying people just because you’re a Reynolds family daughter–in–law! I won’t let this go!” 

Luna Stone and her agent left angrily. 

Lily Lane blinked.“She didn’t say that earlier.” 

The two executive directors emerged, explaining the situation. Luna Stone admitted to bullying Lily Lane but refused to apologize and threatened to quit. Initially, the investors supported Luna Stone, but then Director Davis called Linda. 

“Reynolds’s film company added investment, removing several investors. Director Davis now has absolute control and fired Luna Stone.” 

Leaving the hotel, Lily Lane, after a moment of stunned silence, hugged Sonya. “You’re my golden thigh now!” 

Sonya laughed.“You still have scenes to film and can’t leave yet. Let’s grab some food nearby.” 

“Okay, and

Linda took the phone, smiling.“Only you can control him. Come home for dinner sometime.” 

“Okay. Director Davis called you, right?” 

“It’s a small matter. Have fun with your friend. My hotel room isn’t checked out yet; you can stay there tonight.” 

“Thank you, Mom.” 

“Sweetheart, a kiss!” 

Sonya quickly hung up. 

Lily Lane was shocked.“They say marrying into a rich family is like entering a palace; everyone has hidden agendas. The mother–in–law is the worst; they delight in tormenting their daughters–in–law.” 

“I don’t know about other families, but the Reynoldss are kind to me.”
