Wendy screamed. Sophia looked over and saw blood. 

Jake! You hurt me for her?!” Wendy’s face was a mask of disbelief. Seeing Jake’s cold indifference, she glared at Sophia.“Sophia, I won’t let this go. You’ll pay for this!”

The hospital staff quickly took Wendy away.

“I want to go home.” 

Sean kissed her forehead.“I’ll arrange for them to be transferred to another hospital. They won’t bother you anymore.” 

“I just want to go home.”

“Honey, let’s go home,” she whispered, looking up at him with pleading eyes. Sean, looking at her vulnerable state, felt a mix of helplessness and adoration.“Okay, I’ll talk to the doctor.” 

While Sean spoke to the doctor, Sophia went downstairs to see her friend, Chloe. Chloe was packing her bags. 

“Chloe, you’re checking out?” Sophia asked.

“Are you sure?” Sophia was concerned.

Sophia hugged Chloe.“I’ll always be here for you. Lean on me when you’re tired.” Chloe hugged back tightly.“You’re my best friend, forever. And I’ll lean on you forever!” 

Relieved to see Chloe’s renewed spirit, Sophia relaxed a bit. 

“Where’s Tree?“(Chloe’s boyfriend)
