Chapter 93: Do I Resemble Her?
Sophia found it hard to believe Leo’s claim that Sean would kill someone. The Sean she knew was cheerful, loving, rational, and composed. People said he could. go insane, but how could a perfectly normal person suddenly become insane? And even if he did, could he truly become a different person?
-With such thoughts swirling in her mind, Sophia followed Leo to find Sean. In a chaotic alley, she saw him, cigarette dangling from his lips, beating someone with a contemptuous expression. His hair was disheveled, his suit jacket discarded, his white shirt splattered with blood, like crimson blossoms.
His
eyes were cold and devoid of empathy, as if the bloody figure on the ground were garbage, not a human being.
Hu Quan was lying on the ground, covered in blood, unable to even cry out, only twitching occasionally.
A dozen burly men surrounded them–thugs, Hu Quan’s underlings. They all knelt, heads bowed, not daring to utter a sound.
Simon tried several times to intervene, but Sean pushed him away.
“You’ll kill him, Sean! Snap out of it!” Simon yelled.
Sean flicked his cigarette onto Hu Quan, a slight smirk playing on his lips. Then he picked up steel pipe from the ground and walked towards Hu Quan.

Seeing Sean raise the pipe, Leo rushed to stop him.
“Get out of the way!” Sean roared.
“Don’t go crazy!”
“You damn…”
“Honey…” Sophia’s voice trembled.
to die.
At the sound of her voice, Sean froze, slowly looking up. When he saw Sophia, hist eyes clouded with confusion, then panic. He dropped the steel pipe.
He ran a hand through his hair, then strode towards Sophia, using his body to shield the bloodied Hu Quan.
“Why are you here? Did Leo…”
“Honey, I’m scared,” Sophia said, her face pale.
Sean took a deep breath and hugged her.
“Don’t be afraid. I’m here.”
Don’t… kill him.”
I was just teaching him a lesson.”
“The video was fake.”

Chapter 91: Del Recembe
“Let’s go home, okay?”
Okay.”
Leo, uneasy, took them to the Lucky Dumpling restaurant in his van. Aunt Sterling, worried, had been pacing outside. Seeing them return, she rushed forward.
“Come in, it’s cold outside!”
She ushered Sophia and Sean inside, then, lagging behind, asked Leo if anything had happened.
Leo shook his head. “Luckily, Sophia stopped him. Nothing too serious. Simon is handling things there.”
Aunt Sterling patted her chest.“I was so scared. He hasn’t been like this in a long time.”
Leo looked at Sean worriedly.“I thought he was completely recovered. I… I even provoked him.”
Since Sean’s shirt was covered in blood, Aunt Sterling brought him one of Simon’s hoodies.
Sean went inside to change. Aunt Sterling, worried, asked Sophia to keep him company. Sophia guessed they had witnessed Sean’s violent episodes before, hence their cautiousness. Entering the room, Sophia saw Sean lighting a cigarette while undoing his shirt buttons. Seeing her, he extinguished the cigarette.
“Come here,” he said, raising an eyebrow.
Sophia approached, and he lifted her onto a table.
“Unbutton me,” he said, nudging her forehead.
Sophia was still shaken, her hands trembling slightly as she unbuttoned his shirt.
He took her hand, squeezed it, and helped her.
Im sorry. I scared
you,” Sean said hoarsely.
Sophia shook her head, leaning against him, listening to his heartbeat, her own slowing down…
“Don’t do that again,‘ she said softly.
“Okay, I’ll listen to you.”
Sean took off his shirt and put on Simon’s hoodie–yellow, with Doraemon on it. Since Simon was short and thin, the hoodie looked like a crop top on Sean.
Sophia couldn’t help but laugh.
