Bruce asked, “Yvette, when did you come up with this plan?” 

Everyone turned to Yvette. ‘Exacly. When had all this started?‘ they thought. 

Jeremiah tilted his head with a faint smirk. “Since the very first time she met Callum and Sage, perhaps?” 

Yvette put away her phone and moved into a more comfortable position, slightly lifting her eyes. Sunlight spilled through the window, illuminating her strikingly beautiful face and glowing complexion. In an unhurried tone, she said, “Yes, from our first meeting.” 

Her reply brought a moment of silence to the presidential suite. Among them, only Jeremiah looked unsurprised. 

From the start, when Yvette discovered why Callum and Sage were being hunted, she had likely already begun crafting this plan. Step by step, everything unfolded just as she had anticipated. 

Today, Sage’s invitation to join the Steel Serpents gave her a direct path to their higher–ups, perfectly aligning with her strategy.

The only mystery now was how Yvette gained such absolute trust from Callum and Sage. 

Bruce looked at Yvette and asked, “Yvette, may I ask why Callum and Sage seem so certain of your abilities?” 

He then continued, “They don’t question your background, handed you detailed information on the Steel Serpents‘ higher- ups, and even gave you such a critical role. If they wanted to recruit you, they should’ve done a thorough investigation. None of this makes sense.” 

This was the same confusion Frankie, Chris, and Sienna shared. 

They thought, ‘Even though most of the competition was just Yvette’s background and profile, and all information about her online was restricted, isn’t it a bit too hasty for these two Ybaullans to easily trust a Clusian like her? It doesn’t make much sense.‘ 

Frankie suddenly slammed the table and said, “It just came to me! Do you guys recall what Sage said earlier about Yvette being from Mysonna’s special forces?” 

Naturally, Chris and the others hadn’t forgotten. This matter felt even more suspicious now. Only Jeremiah remained impassive, looking as if he already knew.

Bruce, Chris, and Frankie came to a realization, and their gazes toward Yvette filled with admiration, thinking that Yvette’s plan was absolutely flawless. 

Thus, all the information about Yvette that Callum and Sage had painstakingly gathered was completely false. If the truth ever came to light, those two would probably want to bury themselves out of sheer embarrassment. 

Chris frowned. “Yvette, even if most of the details could be fabricated, it’s easy to verify information from a national–level website like Mysonna’s special forces. Callum and Sage must’ve checked. How did they not find anything suspicious?” 

It was a fair question. ‘For Callum and Sage to be so certain about Yvette’s alleged special forces background, they must’ve investigated it thoroughly. How could they have been fooled so easily? Unless… he wondered. 

Frankie, catching on, stared at Yvette in disbelief. “Yvette, don’t tell me you served in Mysonna’s special forces?” Yvette rested her chin on her hand, her half–closed eyes radiating laziness. Her voice was cool and unhurried. “No.” 

Hearing her denial, Frankie, Chris, and the others let out a breath of relief. At least this time, Yvette didn’t completely turn their world upside down.
