Frankie clicked his tongue and mused, ‘Yvette’s thinking is preposterous. How could that be possible? Those are Spaunia pirates we’re talking about–a ruthless group who kill without remorse and are organized, disciplined, and heavily armed. 

‘How could anyone have such incredible skill to take on a whole crew of Spaunia pirates, hundreds of them, without any preparation? It’s completely impossible even to imagine!” 

Smiling cheekily, Frankie chimed in, “Yvette, stop joking. What you said is impossible. If it turns out to be true, I won’t shower for the rest of my life!” 

Yvette rested her chin on her hand, crossed her legs, and narrowed her eyes. She casually glanced at Frankie and cautioned, “I hope you remember what you said today.” 

Frankie paused, not taking it seriously at all, and shrugged it off.“Of course, Yvette, I always keep my word. You’re definitely wrong this time!” 

Sienna firmly stood on Yvette’s side and couldn’t help but cut in, “It’s not impossible. What if the person who rescued them was just as unique as Yvette? Anything’s possible, right?” 

The rest of the group didn’t take it seriously either. The odds of such a guess being true were practically impossible–it was too far–fetched. 

Watching Yvette fiddle with her phone, Bruce informed her, “Yvette, Sage is picking you up for the newcomer welcome

Bruce and Chris also looked at Alice while Alice put down her spoon and nodded. 

Alice replied obediently, “Yvette, I’ll be good. I’ll stay in the room with Sienna and won’t

out.” 

Alice’s compliant demeanor was heart–wrenching, and Sienna couldn’t help but pat her hand. Bruce and Chris frowned. Bruce said, “Yvette, if you’re worried about Alice, Chris can stay. I’ll go with you.” 

Yvette, with an indifferent expression, glanced at Frankie sitting across from her and answered, “Just Frankie is good enough.” 

Suddenly hearing his name, Frankie was enveloped in happiness. He immediately stood up to exhibit his eagerness. “Yvette, don’t worry. As long as I’m around, I’ll do my best to protect you. I won’t let anything happen to you,” he declared. 

Yvette narrowed her eyes, a playful smile tugging at her lips. She raised her brows and responded lazily, “No need for that. If anything happens, you can escape first.” 

Frankie shook his head. “Yvette, that’s not possible. How can I escape first?” 

Yvette paused and rubbed her temples, a hint of helplessness flashing through her eyes. She went over to the couch, stretched out her legs, propped her chin on her hand, and continued playing her Tetris game, without any intention of explaining further.

As Yvette noticed the crowd gathering, she adjusted her baseball cap slightly, wearing an all–black stylish outfit with only her elegantly outlined profile visible. Her cold eyes held no emotion as she saw Frankie sitting in the car behind her. 

In the car, Sage occasionally glanced at Yvette, noticing her indifferent expression. After some hesitation, he finally spoke up. “Ms. Zeller, the faction members at the newcomer welcome party are looking forward to your arrival. If there’s anything you find unsatisfactory, please bear with us.” 

Sage attempted to hide his sly nature by speaking Clusian in a verbose manner, but it wasn’t enough to completely conceal it. He was the only one under the impression he had fooled Yvette. 

Yvette smirked, giving Sage a look that was as if both amused and disdainful as she hummed in reply. 

Her dismissive reply and attitude made it quite difficult for Sage to keep his smile. Yvette’s cold demeanor left him quite displeased. After all, Sage was the second–in–command, and having been scorned by Yvette several times, he couldn’t help but hold resentment. 

But right now, they still needed to make use of Yvette to eliminate Jasper and the others, so despite his dissatisfaction, Sage had to hold back and maintain a happy expression.
