Chapter 1208

By the time they left the garden, it was already dusk.

Sherry did not even bother to stop when she passed by the courtyard shared by John and Shannon. She barely even glanced inside. Instead, she continued heading back to Queenie‘s courtyard.

The ripe oranges they harvested were rich in flavor. Queenie used them to make a variety of desserts such as orange cake, orange ice cream, orange juice, and so on.

They had a barbecue before finishing the meal with the desserts they made. It was all unbelievably delicious.

Sherry‘s stomach was filled to the brim yet again. She was so full after her meal that she could not even lift a muscle. She lazed around on the couch with Queenie and watched the boring shows she always watched.

Ding!

Queenie‘s phone suddenly rang.

Queenie picked up the phone and glanced at it lazily, then she suddenly sprang up and exclaimed in shock, “What? Why is my brother calling me out of nowhere? What‘s going on?”

As puzzled as she was, she quickly put the phone to her

ear.

“Brother, do you need something from me?” she asked without even sparing the time to greet him.

Sherry shot a glance in Queenie‘s direction, feeling intrigued. She did not know what John said to Queenie, but the latter wore an attentive look on her face and quickly answered, “I‘m doing fine. I‘ve been doing well at home the past few days. It‘s just that Sherry has been clinging to me the entire time and refuses to leave. She‘s like a bedbug. She eats and drinks everything I have and even hogs my television.”

Sherry pouted and pretended to not hear her complaints.

John said something through the phone again, to which Queenie replied, “Hmph, she‘s just a servant. As annoying as she is, she‘s not doing anything to make my life difficult.”

Sherry rolled her eyes.

Queenie noticed Sherry‘s gesture and immediately roared at her, completely forgetting about John who was still on the phone in the spur of a moment, “Sherry, what are you rolling your eyes for? If you do that again, I won‘t let you come here ever again, so don‘t test me!‘

Sherry smiled and apologized half–heartedly, “I got it, I got it.”
