Chapter 1235 “Are you really tired?”

Sherry rolled her eyes. “If you don‘t want to do it, just get out of my face.”

He stood there and lifted her chin with his fingers. With curled lips, he said, “Sherry, if you can take the initiative tonight, I‘ll let you rest earlier.”

Sherry wanted to roll her eyes again, but before she could, he continued, “Or else, I won‘t let you sleep tonight.”

Sherry was silenced by the disgusting suggestion and glared at him in return.

He smiled bewitchingly. “Your choice.”

He released her chin after that.

Sherry stomached her grief and decided to bite the bullet. She tiptoed and kissed him on the lips.

He stared at the side profile of her face and smiled. “Sherry, if you‘re this obedient, I might consider letting you out.” Sherry‘s eyes shifted under the eyelids, but she did not make a noise or open her eyes. He propped his forehead in his palm and stroked her face. “Maybe when I‘m happy, I might even give you a legitimate title, allowing you to move around freely,” he whispered.

Sherry‘s eyes remained closed.

The answer he got was the dead silence of the room.

He stared at her for a while before he switched off the lamp and hugged her to sleep. Regardless of her feelings for him, as long as Sherry

remained sane, she would know the right thing to do.

If she continued to be obedient or even agree to bear his child, the man would probably divorce Shannon and marry her as his legitimate wife. He would then consider forgiving her for her betrayal back then.

The room plunged into silence as John slowly fell asleep.
