Sherry forgot to tell Carl that Julie had used John to imprison her. He must still remember it and believed that John would actually harm her.

A quick thought later, she replied, “Don’t worry. He won’t do anything to me now. I’ll explain it to you and Lisa when I come over later.”

“Take a video of yourself. I want to see how you are doing”

It seemed like Carl would not relent if she did not take a video of herself

Sherry lifted her phone and tapped on the record button, recording her and Caprice together. Then, she pointed the camera at John, who was sitting further away

John was looking at her when she pointed the camera at him. He smiled elegantly like a gentleman for the camera.

Sherry pursed her lips. She released the record button and sent the clip to Carl

Carl replied almost instantly, “Great I’m at my mother’s place I’ll be waiting for you.

Sherry replied to him with an ‘okay” before she went on to check other unread texts. Most of the texts were from her department.

“OMG! Sherry used to be married, and her ex-husband is John Stockton of Glenchester?!”

“I heard they have a three-year-old daughter as well. So cute!”

“Of course, the girl is cute. Look at Sherry!”

“I heard Master Stockton is young, handsome, and reliable. He’s as good, or even better than, Carl Sager.”

“Hmm, Master Stockton is indeed better than Young Master Carl.”

“Yeah. Why did Sherry divorce him in the first place?”

As the discussion went on, the group started to be curious about her past relationship with John. They all forgot that she was supposed to be engaged to Carl today and even ignored the fact that John had just ruined the ceremony.

Sherry pursed her lips. She did not know whether she should be happy because they were not talking about Carl, or be depressed because they were talking about her and John’s relationship.
