Ada burst into tears again. “Carl, I really like you.”

“I have a ton of women who like me. Do I need to marry every single one of them?” Carl bellowed.

Ada continued, “But Sherry doesn’t even like you and she’s been tempting you. She’s still seeing her ex-husband! She’s a bitch who has her feet in two boats!”

Carl’s gaze turned frosty as he glared at her. “Shut the fuck up!”

Ada had never seen such anger from Carl. Startled, she immediately pursed her lips in silence.

Carl glared at her “I don’t care if she likes me or not. If I hear one more word from you that bad- mouths her, I’ll throw you to the sharks!”

Ada quivered out of fear. She dared not even argue or move anymore.

Carl ignored her and headed inside.

A while later, the security guards came over and threw her out on the street.

Many of the employees saw Ada tumble a few times wretchedly before she got up on her feet Carl had already left. She was surrounded by a group of people who looked at her scornfully.

Those people never dared to look her in the eye in the past, but now they treated her like some joke

Ada’s body stiffened as anger rushed to her head. She screamed, “What are you people looking. at? Get the hell out of my face! I’ll fire all of you!”

The group stopped gloating at her but someone argued, “Ms. Wright, your uncle has been kicked out of the board, and both Aiden and Caden are not coming back. You are nothing without the Sagers, so what gives you the right to fire us?”

Someone else echoed, “Yeah. If I were you, I would get the hell out. How dare you come here and give Master Carl trouble?”
