Sherry tried to help him up, but he lost all his strength to the stab. His weight and physique overpowered her, dragging her down to the ground despite mustering all her strength to hold him up.

The stench of blood entered her nose. She tapped on his shoulder to nudge him, but as soon as she lifted her hand, her palm was blood-stained. His back was drenched in his own blood.

Sherry looked at John. His face was bleached white and his half-closed eyes were glued to her

Sherry’s lips trembled out of fear “John? John? JOHN!? Hang in there!”

She pulled her phone out to call the ambulance.

Ada, who was kicked to the ground by Carl, was apprehended by the security guards.

Carl swiftly made a call and ran over to Sherry. He looked at Sherry and her blood-stained hand. “Sis, don’t worry, I’ve called an ambulance. Help is arriving.”

Sherry then looked at John. “Did you hear that? Help is coming! Hold on! Hang in there!”

John’s lips moved, seemingly spelling the word ‘alright”

Sherry pursed her lips. Her tears rolled down her cheeks uncontrollably. She resented the man. She resented him for imprisoning her, bullying her, starving her, and almost killing her!

However, when she saw him being stabbed because of her and dying in his own puddle of blood, her heart tightened uncontrollably. The heart-wrenching scene was too much for her to handle. Her lips. pursed, her teeth gritted and she held his hand tightly until the ambulance’s siren entered her ears.

The paramedics came down swiftly to attend to John’s injuries.

Sherry regained her composure and stepped aside.

One of the paramedics said, “There’s a stab to the chest, possibly harming the heart. We need to bring him to the hospital immediately.”
