John continued pressing the back of her head, completely unfazed by her outburst. “Were you hurt?”

Sherry’s felt her cheeks growing red hot. “No!”

John smiled, “Alright then, good.”

Sherry clenched her jaw and repeated sharply, “Let go!”

“Okay,” John said as he pressed her toward him.

Sherry felt her weight shifting forward, and in an instant, it seemed like she was zooming in on John’s eyes. She felt the softness of his lips pressing against hers. The warmth and tender texture of his lips sent a wave of electric shock through her.

It took her a moment before she fully registered what was happening. Just as she was about to begin swinging her fists at John, he let go of her so that she could pull herself away.
