Before John could come out of the room, Sherry asked Jason, “Didn’t you just drop his luggage?”

Jason answered, “Yeah, but I forgot to bring the document that he asked for, so I went back for it.”

“But how did you come back so fast?” Sherry thought John lived two hours away.

Jason smiled, “Master Stockton’s hotel is two minutes away. It’s directly opposite this building. I don’t even need to drive.”

Sherry was left speechless.

Opposite the building? Two-minute walking distance?

Sherry squinted.

Why did John claim that a trip back to his place would take two hours last night?

He pursed his lips as he walked over to her and held one of her hands. She wanted to pull her hand away, but he put her hand on his abs.

“I shouldn’t have lied to you. You can punch me if it makes you feel better.”
