Over the next few evenings, Trey would regularly hang out with the girls. They would either find something to eat or entertain themselves with some shopping.

Even on the night when he had to meet the representatives of VV Entertainment to negotiate their business deal, he still met the girls afterward.

Trey may look aloof at times, but he was surprisingly reliable. He always took the group of Caprice, Freya, and Piper to fun places that he knew they would enjoy.

A week later, one night, Caprice, Freya, and Piper were dressed fashionably as always and were waiting for Trey to take them out.

Caprice made sure she had her debit card with her. Trey had been footing the bill for a week, so she figured it was time she treated him to something for once.

After an hour passed and the sky had turned pitch-black, Trey was still nowhere to be seen.

Caprice and Freya sat nearby and waited.

She asked anxiously. “Where are you right now? Look, don’t do anything stupid, you have to tell Mom and Dad. They’ll figure out something for you. Hey, say something!”

She removed the phone from her ears and looked at the display. Her phone’s lock screen wallpaper was shown on the display.

Trey had hung up on her.

She tried to call again, but it seemed like his phone was turned off. Her eyes grew red as she slumped into her seat like her soul had been sucked out of her.

“Piper, what happened to Trey?” Caprice asked with worry in her voice.

Freya regarded Piper with concern as well.
