Chapter 2175
He had a good character and temper. If Isabel lived with him in the future, he would not hurt her even if they had a large conflict.
Sylvia thought about it and asked, "Isabel, have you met his mother before?"
She heard that his mother was his only kin left.
Isabel said honestly, "I've met her many times. She's very gentle and is a good cook. She often cooks food for me."
Sylvia smiled. "I’m sure his father was quite good too."
"Yes, he used to be very happy, but after his grandfather and father passed..."
"Mm, I’ve heard."
Isabel fell silent.
In Southboro.
The continuous rain cast a shadow over the Rockwell residence.
Decker was in his room.
Having just finished his shower, he stood in front of the window wrapped in his bathrobe, smoking a cigarette as he looked out at the rain that was pelting the ground.
Clarice pushed the door open and walked in barefooted.
She had also just finished her shower and wore a pink silk nightgown with spaghetti straps and a low neckline, showing off her fairly satisfactory figure.
She walked to Decker and hugged him from behind." Decker, it's getting late. We should get to bed."
As she spoke, she brushed a hand across his chest.
Decker frowned. His already gloomy face suddenly became annoyed.
However, he quickly suppressed that irritability.
He turned around, hugged Clarice, lifted her chin, and kissed her on the lips.
"Clarice, I remembered I still have something to talk to Dad about. You go to bed first. Don’t wait up for me."
Then, he pushed Clarice away and walked past her out of the bedroom.
Clarice stood where she was, frowning unhappily as she watched him go straight out.
