Sophia cut the call and turned to the glass door. She did not wait for a single second and dashed
out of the balcony. While leaving the room, she felt tears stream down her cheeks. But she wiped
them off and walked down the stairs hurriedly.
When she left the house and began to walk, she heard a voice that almost stopped her, but she
didn't stop.
"Don't go to him."
Bryan was running after her. She ignored him and began to run forward.
"Leave me alone. I don't want to hear any more lies."
"I am not lying, Sophia. I really love you," he said, then grabbed her hand to stop her.
She withdrew her hand abruptly. "I don't care anymore."
He frowned at her. "What do you mean you don't care?"
She looked at him with anger. "Even if you beg in front of me that you love me, I will never love
you back. You don't deserve a woman who loves you. I just hate you. As soon as you get it in your
head, it will be better for you."
He loosened his grip and muttered, "So you have decided to marry him no matter what?"
"Yes. I don't believe in your lies. I am not that Sophia anymore."
He clenched his jaw and nodded his head. "I tried my best to talk to you. But you don't trust me."
"I will never trust you."
She turned around and started walking ahead. He did not stop her again.
She had been walking in the dark for a long time. She wanted to go for a run. But she told Victor
to wait outside her home so she did not want to shift.
"I can't believe how a man can be so shameless. When he saw all of his plans were going to fail,
he changed his mind and said that he loves me. Is love a joke to him? The man who clearly said
even a few days ago that he only wanted power suddenly fell in love with me? How can he play
with my heart like that all the time? How???"
She pulled her hair in anger. She did not know where to go. She was not familiar with the way.
She was about to sit down a little far beside the road when she saw a car coming from the way she
had just come in.
She noticed the familiar car and looked away from it. The car stopped beside her, and Bryan got
out of the car.
"Why are you here?" she asked.
Bryan did not look at her as if he did not want to. He opened the front door and said,
"Get in the car."
“I will not go back there,” she replied with a furious tone.
"This area is not safe. I will drive you to your house."
"No need for that."
He let go of the door and came toward her. He lifted her into his arms, returned to his car, and
pushed her inside.
She was shocked by his actions. She was about to protest, but he shut the door and came to sit in
the driver's seat.
She tried to open the door but she realized that he had locked it. She turned to him and asked,
"What are you doing?"
Bryan did not reply to her as if he were raged at her. He drove the car at high speed, which took
her aback.
She noticed her phone, which she was holding in her hand. A message popped up in the
notification bar.
"Come back safely. I am waiting for you."
The message was from Victor. She did not reply to Victor's message. She was mad at both of the
men.
Bryan was exceptional because she believed she hated him. But Victor was different. She believed
he was not as bad as others portrayed him. He never lied to her about anything. But he never told
her anything clearly, either.
Tonight, she wanted every answer from him. If he truly wanted to marry her, he would have to
respond to all of her questions.
The ride was silent. Sophia did not give a glance at Bryan. Even after a year, she felt Bryan was
still trying to play with her, which fueled her hatred.
The car moved on the bumpy road a few times while making its way to her house. But he did not
lower the speed for a moment. It was like he wanted to drop her off as fast as he could.
When the car reached her house, Sophia noticed a car park outside. Victor was standing next to
the car while holding his phone close to his ear.
Bryan stopped the car and unlocked the door.
"You think my feelings for you are fake. I can accept your anger. But always keep in mind that if I
can let him roam around this pack, I can kill him too. Don't let him touch you again. Because I am
doing my best to calm myself right now, I am not sure what will happen to others if you push your
limits beyond my tolerance."
"Only a few days. Keep your warning to yourself. I will take everything away from you very
soon."
Sophia challenged him directly and got out of the car.
Victor saw her and removed his phone from his ear. His gaze shifted from her and moved to the
black car.
"Victor."
He shifted his gaze once more toward her when he heard her.
"Why were you with him? Didn't I tell you to stay away from him?"
Sophia turned her head and saw Bryan driving away.
She returned her attention to Victor, who did not look calm at all.
She took a quick glance at her house and decided not to disturb her mother. So she grabbed
Victor's hand and pulled him toward the forest side near her house.
"Are we going for a run?" Victor asked in a relaxed tone.
Upon entering the forest, she turned to him and replied,
"No. I need all of my answers tonight. If you don't answer me, I will not marry you."
Victor's brows furrowed as he asked,
"What did you just say? You won't marry me? Do you know what you are saying? It's impossible
to stop the wedding. There is no way you can cancel it."
She crossed her arms over her chest. "This is not the answer, Alpha Victor. Tell me, why is Bryan
Morrison banished from your pack?"
Victor stared at her for a while, then let out a lower tone.
"He changed your mind, didn't he?"
She shook her head. "No way. Except for myself, no one has the ability to change my mind. You
promised me that you would reply when you returned."
Victor averted his gaze from her and exhaled deeply.
"I hate the man more than anyone in this world."
Sophia felt irritated to get the same answer from everyone. She became disoriented and lost her
sanity.
She could not help but yell at him.
"How can you two Alphas make me lose my mind? Why can't you, the man who will be my
husband in a few days, answer a simple question? Why does everything seem twisted? Just
answer me alre—"
Victor's calm face became fiercer, and his eyes turned red as he interrupted her.
"Because he killed my mate. He is banished from my pack because he killed the future Luna of
the Moon Valley Pack. I hate him and want to destroy him because he made me mateless to snatch
everything away from me."
